Southern Kitchen, which is known as "The Mouth of the South" to the locals, serves up comfort food favorites. From collard greens to fried fish and chicken, the eatery provides a comfortable, relaxed spot for enjoying classic Southern food, beer, and wine for lunch, and dinner. Since opening in 2014, the restaurant has focused on providing good food paired with a classy experience and great customer service. Southern Kitchen features a variety of options for starting the meal, including fried oysters, fried okra, southern rolls, and salad. Enjoy sandwiches like the salmon cake and chicken club, or dive into some apple pecan salad, fried fish, big momma's chicken, and chicken livers and onions. Southern Kitchen also features plenty of filling plates, including the seafood platter, meatloaf, catfish, and southern-fried pork chops.

First time at this location. Loved what they’ve done with the place. Efficient ordering services, friendly staff, clean, upscale feel, food was great. So happy to see this place flourish!

We arrived about 10 min before the actual reservation time and were immediately seated. Our serverstopped by after a few minutes, which actually gave us time to think about what to drink and our dinners. The meals came out quickly, hot and delicious. The portions are quite generous. The new restaurant location is lovely and parking is great. We'll be back. Yes, a high grade meal is priced well enough to keep the service going! We'll be back.

Everything was wonderful. I like the new location. The staff is attentive and very friendly. The food was awesome. I’ll be back.

The service was exceptional. I had a reservation for 5, and they allowed a 15 minute grace period. We were seated and greeted promptly. 4 out of the 5 guests food was exceptional. One of the guests food was subpar. Everyone was served, except for 1 person who was left waiting for at least 5 to minutes after everyone was served. The food was brought from the kitchen, not our waitress. Once the waitress noticed to raced to go get my food. It seemed that they refried my pork chops because they were hard and not flavorful, covered in gravy and onions. I didn't want to complain because the other service was great. My guests said that I should have returned the chops. The cocktails for the table were divine. 😊

The baked chicken was delicious (white meat) and juicy. My husband had the whiting fish wasn’t satisfied it was over cooked hard and crunchy. All the sides were delicious no issues there…. Beautiful restaurant and the server was on point checking regularly! I will return!

The food was very good. I feel the prices were a but high, but overall a good experience. Our server Maggie was excellent! Highly recommend her.

Very much enjoyed the atmosphere. Food was delicious and my salmon was cooked to order. I would have liked my fries to be crisp. Very good service from a nice young man who was also training a young lady.
