Expect to find a contemporary seafood focussed menu with the very best that the South Coast and Australia has to offer. The menu is a combination of classic chip-shop fare and more worldly seafood flavours with an in-house Sushi & Poké Bar. The kitchen, lead by Executive Chef Graham Ette, prepares delicious seafood plates cooked to order, designed to share.

Wednesday Night Locals dinner, the most amazing $19 dish Crumbed and cooked to perfection with a broccoli puree and crunchy baked potatoes. Awesome service , wonderful wines and seriously good food. My favourite restaurant.

We booked lunch for Father’s Day with courtyard seating. The venue was full with wait staff clearly busy, however they were polite when we asked for drinks and water, that came out promptly, with a pleasant surprise of a free beer for dads. Entrees were delicious (Octopus, bugs, ceviche and eggplant) with wait staff checking when we wanted our mains. Whilst one of the mains was late, they also were delicious with a combination of curry , burgers, tacos and tuna poke bowl (that was ok) We stayed for a couple of hours as the ambience was good and never felt rushed. We will definitely come back.

South Sailor never disappoints; modern, fresh, delicious seafood and fish! Quite possibly the best sushi I've had. Love the veggie options too. Great spot for a quick bite, long lunch or intimate date - ultimate South Coast beach vibes.

We had the ‘feed me’ menu. It was delicious. We left full and satisfied. Couldn’t fault a thing. The cocktails were delicious too.

My partner and I had a great meal at South Sailor. The entrees were great - fish tacos are a tasty longtime favourite, and we also had the octopus. We shared two main courses. The new squid ink pasta with prawns, saffron, and ginger was excellent. We also had the aged barramundi, which was better than the previous smokey version on the old menu. We had a bottle of Chardonnay, which went well with all the seafood.

Friday night Oyster and Caviar Happy Hour. $2.50 oysters, well priced quality caviar and 20% off sparkling wines. With the 20% off, Pol Roger becomes affordable, so we did! Oysters were fresh, creamy & minerally. Perfect on their own but it’s hard to not drizzle them with South Sailor’s soy based dressing. Four beautifully flavoured fish (salmon?) tacos topped off our 2 dozen oysters. Crunchy taco shells full of marinated fresh fish and topped with avocado and fish roe. Beautiful! As usual, wait-staff were excellent, led by the brilliant Charlotte. Great meal, great night.

Our dinner at South Sailor was a mixed experience. The food was great, quite tasty, but unfortunately most meals arrived barely warm. We were a family of 8( including children) and the meals all arrived at different intervals. The last meal was about 10-15 minutes after the previous meal so this affected the ambience if the experience. The courtyard was also quite cold, the heaters didn’t warm the area sufficiently . The wait staff were very good
