Sortino's Italian Kitchen is a new age red sauce restaurant where old school Italian cuisine meets the modern age. Sortino’s Italian Kitchen is a casual restaurant and bar that brings to the Poconos a tradition of hospitality established by Giorgio and Giacomo Sortino more than 60 years ago when they opened the original Sortino’s Little Italy restaurant in Sandusky, Ohio.

Adding a new chapter to a rich culinary history, Sortino’s celebrates the family recipes and generous spirit of its Sicilian immigrant founders. This is the kind of neighborhood Italian joint that could open on your street tomorrow and would feel like it’s been there forever.

The tone is established by the framed family photos at the entrance, and reaffirmed by the maître ‘d’s warm welcome. The aroma of simmering sauces and fresh-baked breads stimulates the appetite, while the sight of bountiful homemade Italian specialties racing from the kitchen to the table catches the eye.

It was a wonderful restaurant to have high scale food, but eat with a family service prompt. Everything came out delicious and we were able to celebrate my daughter‘s birthday.

The service was exceptional. The Mozarella garlic bread was excellent! I would go back for the bread. The food is good, it just needs some flavor.

Food quality was very poor... and expensive... fish was not fresh... we were very disappointed... definitely would not eat there again!

Our food was amazing. However, as the restaurant was not that busy our server was not attentive to our needs and requests. She was continually forgetting to bring the items we requested to the table.

The seafood dish in the white wine was not good at all. Weird combo with celery and capers. I didn’t eat much of it. Sauce was thick for white wine. $36 dish and it was wasted. The fresh bread was amazing though

We’ve dined here plenty of times before and I’ve never had a dish I don’t like. I tried the Tortellini with roasted mushrooms and I regretted my decision one bite in. I tried a few more bites but it was so incredibly salty I couldn’t continue. I did I form my waiter Sebastian H, but he made no comment to resolve the issue so I ate my partner’s leftover chicken parm that was very good. There was no drink menu this time so we skipped the wine and just had sodas. The bread usually came with oil and pesto but this time it was a clump of parm with oil. The other 3 dishes we ordered were good, it was just the one that really needed to be altered taste wise.

Food was wonderfully made and prepared. The service was top notch, and the atmosphere was relaxing and layed back. Our server Demond was great at his job and did a stellar job taking care of us. Thank you!
