The food was good. The ambiance was also very good. The only problem we had was the service from the waiter at our table. There didn’t seem to be a connect between us and the interaction we received from our server. We waited a long time between ordering and receiving. There was no special attention, which most servers provide. We also had to get up and leave our table before someone asked if there was something we needed. I said the bill! Or else we would still be sitting there. A lot of people “helping “, not our server in sight, to produce our bill. Which we paid with no apologies from Sorrenteno’s.

The 3 of us started with the Carpaccio. Sliced so thin it only had one side. Totally delicious and it wouldn't have hurt my feelings to have a second order. Portion sizes for Secondo, being taken into account, suggested temperance. The Gamberoni with pasta was...outstanding! Huge prawn (largest I've ever had at a restaurant in Edmonton) and done perfectly. There were 7 and if there would have been 8, I wouldn't have had the pasta. No need and no belly-room. :-) As it was I had to take the leftover pasta home (it, too, was done exactly as it should be). My friends had Chicken Scalopini and the Beef Short Ribs with mushroom sauce. Given the cleanliness of the plates after eating, theirs were a testament to the chef as well. Il Bruciato (Antinori red from Bolgheri) paired very well with everything and was its own salute to Tuscany. :-) We went on a Tuesday night...I've been before on a Thursday night. Doesn't seem to matter as there were many people both nights enjoying themselves. Pricing in line with what you would expect at a higher-end establishment...and deservedly so. I will definitely be going again...so many other things to have from the menu.

It was not noisy be cause ot was practically empty due to the hockey game. Nevertheless it was all wonderful. RAFAT was amazing, attentive and very helpful. He connected well with his clients. He's a keeper!

The food was delicious. Most of the staff was so friendly and accommodating! They moved the TV so we could watch the game from our table.

Disappointing. Ate here before. This time, penne arabarrati was too spicy, penne mediterranean was bland. Food not up to par. Fairly busy and noisy in our area in front. Service was fair but slow.
