We want Sophie's to be a place where one could have a good, hearty meal (comfort food), simple and unpretentious, at a fair price. Our goal is to produce an atmosphere where people can come for lunch, a full dinner, a late snack, a glass of wine or a big cup of coffee and feel comfortable and at home. Our menu is diverse enough for everyone, yet simple enough so the average person will not get overwhelmed with numerous menu choices and complications. Our basic premise is to provide quality food and good service at a fair price in an unpretentious atmosphere. The décor is modeled after classic French Bistros. French country antiques, large open shuttered windows, dark woods, soft pastel colors and walls covered with family pictures make Sophie's an intimate cozy environment

We always enjoy Sophie’s Bistro. We often go for the Mussels Fest, but the regular menu is great as well.

Sophie’s is a longtime favorite of ours and it never disappoints. We live going there and have take. Family and friends to dine over the years, always a great experience.

We are long term diners at Sophie's Bistro. Last night, the food was very good. The only reason I gave it 4 stars if that we had a 15 minute wait for our dessert which was annoying. My husband got the fancy strawberry, raspberry sauces dessert. The taste was good, but the bottom wafer was so hard, he needed a knife to cut through it. It makes me wonder if the dessert chef tried it out first. Otherwise, everything was very good.

This was my second meal at the restaurant. I brought my husband and my French friend. Everything was delicious and everyone was delighted with their dinner. including the entrees with duck, shrimp, and beef. The portions were perfect. The bread was hot and a perfect accompaniment for the foie gras and our French martinis. I will return again and again- it was that good.

This restaurant is just great. I've never had a meal here that wasn't fabulous. Everything is prepared according to your ask. Wait staff is very attentive, maybe sometimes a little too attentive, but your order. Always comes out the way you expect it to.

Have loved this bistro for years. Peter, the owner, is always there to chat and share an after dinner drink. He cared for his staff and his community during the pandemic. If you like gin they have Empress 1908 Elderflower Rose Gin! It’s amazing and hard to find. Try the trout almondine for a real treat. Unique place worth visiting.
