Rooftop Dining in Galway City Centre
Soak in the views whilst you dine at Sophie’s rooftop restaurant, complete with amazing panoramic views of Galway City, whatever the weather.
Blazing sun, howling gales, she’s just beautiful. And fun. And friendly. And tasty.

Our chefs pack every mouthful with international and Irish flavours. We’ve also got a range of cocktails so good you’ll wanna work your way through the entire menu.
We serve breakfast and dinner 7 days a week. We do lunch on weekdays and brunch at the weekend.

Join us for our series of Absolut Disco Brunches served up with DJs dishing out day time tunes on Sophie's Rooftop. Enjoy any dish from our brunch menu alongside a paired brunch cocktail menu. Our disco brunches run on selected dates through July, August & September. Pre booking preferred but not essential.

The food was excellent, but what really made the experience fun was our waiter Ryan. What a pleasant young man! Such a terrific sense of humor! The entire staff here is very friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Fabulous cocktails, spicy margarita was outstanding. Just beautiful. We got starters and sides and desert. Everything was amazing. Our server Ryan was amazing at his job and gave us a great laugh whilst also keeping us safe while he fought off an angry wasp. Highly recommend for a girlie night or date night!

We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Sophie's Rooftop restaurant on Friday night. The location is superb with amazing views of Galway city. The food was beautifully presented and delicious, so too were the cocktails. Even though it was a busy night, the staff were amazing especially Bernardo who was friendly, professional and paid great attention to detail. We look forward to returning shortly!

Had such a wonderful experience at Sophie’s in Galway last evening, the food was exquisite and the servers were so lovely and could not be more professional or helpful. Highly recommend if one wants to treat themselves!

Outstanding service, ambience and food. Everything I look for when eating out especially on Holiday :) We had a group of 8 and were very comfortable here. The noise level was such that we were able to converse easily. We enjoyed all of our dishes. Heads up the risotto is delicious but a very large portion, and could be shared between 4 people maybe easily.

Great dinner and location is amazing but they don’t half pack you in when on tables of two. Too close to our neighbours for our liking.

Beautiful restaurant, lovely addition to Galway! I had the beetroot and goats cheese starter as well as the steak for my main, they were so delicious. Service was fantastic, I believe my server was Taylor! So accommodating and sweet. Will be back.

The food is very ordinary, I was definitely expecting better. Unfortunately for us it was the service that was extremely poor. Our plates were not cleared after we finished our mains, we had to call over someone to eventually get this done, followed by nobody came back to take our desert orders again had to call someone over. Our drinks order was just left on the bar, again we had to get up and bring to our table. The manager on duty did apologies and we were compensated with free dessert but for me it was all a bit shoddy. Maybe it’s just hard to get good staff ???

Pizzas are nice but the service was not good. Part of the group had finished their food before the other half even got theirs. Saw another customer complain about service on the same night. It is a really nice venue with tasty food (although on the small side for the price) so it’s a shame
