It was our first time visiting Sophia’s in Hobe Sound. We were excited to have a new dining option in Southern Martin County and it didn’t disappoint. We were greeted quickly and offered a comfortable corner table in the inside dining room. Our server Bradley introduced himself, reviewed the menu and made recommendations. We started with the ceviche, which was fresh, well portioned and presented perfectly. Our main meals included a ribeye, sweet potato crusted grouper & the sandbar salad with blackened mahi. The wine selection was great and well priced. Our fish & steak entrees came with 2 sides and were nice portions and served hot! Bradley’s excellent service and attention to detail made for a wonderful first visit! We look forward to returning soon and especially during the cooler winter months when we can take advantage of the lovely outside dining area. We wish Sophia’s much success and look forward to returning soon!

We got over to check out Sophia's tonight.... Had the lobster & crab bisque and Ahi tuna wrap. Both were very flavorful and would definitely order again (Looking forward to trying some other items since the menu had some really nice options) . The tuna was very fresh and the sauces served on the side were nice compliments. My little had a kids cheeseburger and fries which had lettuce tomato and onion on it which we appreciated. So often kids burgers are really dry, this was not. The outside area is lovely and they had live music (Deena Miller) which added to the ambiance. Our server Liz was friendly and answered our many questions with a smile. She did a great job!

We were professionally greeted and promptly seated by a nice hostess. Unfortunately it took a very long time for our server to come by our table and provide water; she apologized for the long wait but the long wait did not end there. We ordered drinks and they finally came out. The drinks were good. We ordered dinner and my husband needed ketchup which he asked for when the food was served but it did not come so I flagged down a staff member and asked him for it and he apologized for the wait but finally brought it to us. I was really looking forward to my filet surf and turf but when I received it the lobster was about two bites (was supposed to be 6 ounces pre cooked), the asparagus and red potatoes were barely warm, almost cold. Our server did ask us how everything was and I told her so she brought the manager over. The manager did make it right by providing freshly cooked asparagus and potatoes as well as an additional lobster tail. The filet was cooked perfectly and was delicious (as was the lobster, hot potatoes and asparagus). I'll chalk this up to them being a new restaurant and will return...next time for happy hour...but my husband said he will not. I appreciate the manager doing what he did to correct the issues. The food was very good so I do look forward to returning (with a different server).

Reservation handled poorly and need multiple hostesses on Thursday nights apparently. Service from Vinny was marginal, hard to find when needed. Had to get up to find some one to clean off our table after dinner with both entree and appetizer dishes etc. Don’t want my ketchup and mayonnaise in their bottles, use ramican’s. Steak was poorly cooked and had no flavor. I’ve been around the restaurant industry for 40 years, got some work to do.

My husband and I were excited to try Sophia's as we have liked both restaurants that preceded it in the same location, Kork and Delbar. We had a 6:15 reservation, showed up a few minutes early and were seated outside. We were given water pretty soon after being seated. Then we ordered a bottle of wine. After 10 minutes, our server came back to say they were out of it, what did we want? I asked what other type of pinot grigio they offered, she said she had no clue and she would ask and be back. Seven minutes later, she came with a very inexpensive bottle of wine (I looked it up later and i'ts an $11 bottle at the grocery store). I told her we would really rather not have a bottle that we have no idea about so we would look at the cocktail menu. She never came back to our table. I saw her across the restaurant waiting on another table so gave her the benefit of the doubt. The two bartenders were right next to our table and neither had a customer and neither asked if they could help us. We walked.

Over all…very good service and food was great. Gave one less star because server came to table twice with food orders that were not ours.

Our waitress was wonderful. The only issue was that they came with my entree before I had a chance to finish my soup and the entree was not really hot. They did fix the problem immediately and the food was delicious. Overall we were very happy with our experience.

Posting not for customers, who I hope will Visit Sophia’s. We need this restaurant in Hobe Sound. The food is the reason for the rating and I hope the restaurant takes these comments into consideration. The appetizer of wings were great. Improvements needed are 1 the Ribeye was way too thin and overcooked. 2 The Grouper was undercooked and the Garlic Broccoli has no Garlic taste, just plain and the rice, not much coconut taste. Saying this we’ll give them another try.
