Soothr, properly pronounced “Sood” is the Thai word meaning “Recipe”. This East Village establishment is the vision of close friends who grew up in different regions of Thailand, hoping to share their experiences and recipes with the rest of the world. Raised in distinctive regional cities, each individual brings their own unique relationship with Thai cuisine, with a specific focus on the generational family recipes that have shaped their childhood and time growing up in Thailand. With a specialty in family noodle recipes from throughout Thailand, Soothr offers a culinary experience that is geared towards the comfort and warmth of dining at home. These traditional recipes have brought great comfort and a sense of home for generations, and Soothr at its core is an invitation to sit at the table and enjoy a classic, Thai family meal.

D'après les éditeur·rices d'OpenTable : Les nouilles sont à l'honneur dans cet établissement thaïlandais de l'East Village qui a reçu les éloges de Eater et du New York Times après son ouverture en 2020. Vous les trouverez dans une multitude de plats régionaux comme le ba mii pu épicé (nouilles au crabe séchées) et le poulet khao soi. Food was phenomenal and service was great too! The seat is a bit too close to each other making the space a bit crowded to eat otherwise I find it a pleasant spot for special occasions, date nights, or just a casual meal

Food was decent, not outstanding. We were rushed through our meal and it felt like they were more concerned with table turnover than customer service.

We came to this place under the premise that the food was outstanding based on the Michelin rating and social media touting that the food was comparably to that in Thailand…..this was the reason we booked. The service was lovely, everyone friendly and attentive which is always appreciated. The shrimp pancake appetizer was an interactive delicious experience. The rose quartz drink I had done virgin and enjoyed. The shrimp pad Thai was delicious, noodles done well, very tasty. The Wagyu pho was recommended and underwhelming honestly. We enjoyed both of the desserts we ordered, the crème brûlée and mango ice cream served with sticky rice….this was a highlight for us. Would I say Value….Probably Not.

Where to begin??!! The ambiance was very cool - cozy and hip; the waiter was unobtrusive but very helpful in picking the most delicious dishes. The presentation of the food was lovely.

Ambiance was good. Not authentic but the flavors were there. Ribs were dry

A gem! Loved it and can’t wait to return! One of those places, which you step in and forget there is another world outside. Amazing food & service, plus - everyone is so pretty there! Do they hire “Abercrombie & fitch style”? Hahaha… it is cool.
