Soothr, properly pronounced “Sood” is the Thai word meaning “Recipe”. This East Village establishment is the vision of close friends who grew up in different regions of Thailand, hoping to share their experiences and recipes with the rest of the world. Raised in distinctive regional cities, each individual brings their own unique relationship with Thai cuisine, with a specific focus on the generational family recipes that have shaped their childhood and time growing up in Thailand. With a specialty in family noodle recipes from throughout Thailand, Soothr offers a culinary experience that is geared towards the comfort and warmth of dining at home. These traditional recipes have brought great comfort and a sense of home for generations, and Soothr at its core is an invitation to sit at the table and enjoy a classic, Thai family meal.

Les nouilles sont à l'honneur dans cet établissement thaïlandais de l'East Village qui a reçu les éloges de Eater et du New York Times après son ouverture en 2020. Vous les trouverez dans une multitude de plats régionaux comme le ba mii pu épicé (nouilles au crabe séchées) et le poulet khao soi. Accompagnez-les de cocktails tout aussi originaux, comme le Pay-Thai à base de tequila et de sirop de tamarin, dans un cadre éclairé au néon qui vous donnera l'impression de vous trouver au cœur de l'un des célèbres marchés de street food de Bangkok.

It felt a bit like a factory there, but the service was excellent and prompt. But hey, it’s a very successful and well-known restaurant. When two dishes were delivered at the same time the lead server noticed and took the other one back to the kitchen to at least keep it warm. as predicted the crab fried rice was delicious, as were the fish dumplings. I would go back again.

Outstanding in every way, starting with a friendly and accommodating greeting, great table service, good menu recommendations, excellent food and a lively and pleasant vibe.

The pad si ew honestly was the worst I ever had in my life. The noodle texture was poor and worst of all, was immensely sweet. It was like I was eating dessert. This was one of the most dissapointing meals I’ve had, especially given the positive reviews I saw online.

Had four dishes and wish I got more. Every dish was memorable. Asked the server to recommend what we should get and they pointed us in the right direction- will be back again soon
