Many choices in Harbor Country yet I continue to go there but always regret it. Way too noisy, food is just ok and they never get your order right. Cobb salad with ranch on the side became a chopped salad with vinaigrette (maybe because it's too loud?) Which ruined my experience. I decided to eat it rather than be watching my friend while she ate her food and I waited.

Amazing food and service. Great restaurant that we love coming to now that it’s here. It’s quite loud when it’s loud—but that’s the only negative I can think of.

Seems to be a little over priced for what you get. Frutti Di Mare was not worth the price. Burgers were ok. Double check drink prices before you order.

Food is always good, a bit over priced for basic American food. Servers are always very nice and very helpful with providing drinks, appetizers however I think out of their hands- the main course always takes a very long time to come out. We have been there many times and every single time it takes a long time to get food. We know this about the restaurant and always order an appetizer to keep kids from getting hangry. It is one of the few places in town that that takes reservations so on busy weekends it’s a nice option to at least be able to sit down and somewhat eat when you want and not have long waits standing outside somewhere. We just deal with the long wait for food, enjoy a beverage and relax.

First of all, let me say our first experience with Sonny D’s involved great service and a friendly comfortable setting. My order-the portobello sandwich was delicious. The calamari appetizer was good and a typical fried calamari. My mom and friend ordered the chicken tacos and I saw that it listed corn tortillas which can be good or bad. They both were unimpressed with the chicken tacos. The corn tortillas were soggy and the chicken used was like tiny fried chicken bits. Please redo your chicken tacos-it’s easy to serve yummy ones. My other friend had the chicken park sandwich which was good with a side of French fries. The fries looked very crispy and I tried one because sometime a variety of fries can just be dark. I did not even finish the bite of a fry-it was cold and it seemed like a refried French fry. Were they old fries? Perhaps:( Our server was excellent and the timing of food was as well. It is a great casual menu but 3 of the 4 people do not want to come back.

Food was fabulous for our party 10. Every loved it. Service is a little slow but our server got everything right and made sure we had all that we needed. The atmosphere is great!

Sonny D's is our go to restaurant when near New Buffalo. The location is good, parking is easy and the food is always outstanding. Frank is a hands-on owner who wants to make sure everything is right with your dining experience.

The food was great overall but my pork chop came out well done and I asked for medium to medium rare, and service was pretty slow from appetizers to dinner, and the food came out just a bit colder than expected. Will try this spot again another time when we come through town

The server was very friendly but not exactly attentive and failed to check on drinks regularly or on us after the food was initially delivered. Calamari appetizer was tasty and nicely enhanced with marinara sauce for dipping. The hamburger was good but ho-hum. The “house specialty” pork chops served with spinach and mashed potatoes (excellent!) were not chops at all but a sliced pork loin smothered in bbq sauce, overcooked, bottle-smoke flavored, and so excessively over salted that it was inedible — all three of us dining at the table agreed. The server belatedly offered to replace it, but by that time, everyone else was done eating, so we declined. Without asking if we wanted dessert, she brought us a cannoli dish to share to make up for the dinner. One person liked the dessert and the other two didn’t. No compensation was offered for the $34 wasted dinner. Based on this experience, we won’t be recommending or returning any time soon.
