The food was delicious as always. However on Open Table I had reserved a table on the patio. When I got there, I was told the outdoor tables had been ended by the city of Waltham. Solea needs to correct its information on Open Table.

Good variety of dishes including many vegetarian. All good, and most of them were excellent. Received very good service and willingness to deal with fussy diet of one person. Very amiable and attentive waiter. Will return.

We have always loved Solea in the past but our experience the other night wasn't the best. The service was very good and the atmosphere as well. The food just wasn't up to par.

Four people are ideal, to order 2 dishes apiece for sharing. This allows sampling a great variety from the menu, while not over-saturating with different tastes. The dishes are generous enough that each of our party got a significant amount of each. Outside dining is lovely, but on a hot day the umbrellas give modest shade so we chose inside. The unique sauce with each dish is the key to the excellence of the food.

The tapas were very good, although I think Barcelona in Brookline and Boston is a little better. Service was poor. I am assuming some people called out sick because by the time we arrived at 7:30 the staff was showing an "all hands on deck" mentality and they were clearly aware of issues. We didn't get any attention for ten minutes after being seated, and then it was only the hostess pouring us water. We ordered everything at once when a waitress finally came by. The poor service continued after that, with the wrong dish being delivered to our table (and a server with limited English skills trying to force it on us) our potato side dish arriving as dessert and no waitress availability to order drink refills. We also waited a long time for the check to be presented. With good food and a nice atmosphere in the dining room, I'll give Solea a second chance. Language and food timing issues can be problems at any Tapas restaurant. However, the low service quality went far beyond these typical issues. If the service is just as bad at my next visit, that one will be my last.

As usual,Solea has a varied and well executed menu of tapas.We especially liked the lamb chops,garlic shrimp, empanadas,duck leg,mixed plate of appetizers, (Spanish ham and cheeses),and chicken liver.There was more than enough for the five of us.It being a Saturday night, the place was busy.We did not have to wait for anything.The servers were there whenever needed.

Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. We were there on a Thursday night and had an excellent paella, as well as a couple of tapas, goat cheese in tomato and basil and the lamb meatballs. Our waiter and staff were attentive and not obtrusive. All in all a very enjoyable evening.
