La chef Deborah Schneider, auteure de livres de recettes nominée par la fondation James Beard et autorité reconnue sur la cuisine mexicaine, a créé un menu où elle offre une interprétation contemporaine et gastronomique de plats de la côte de Baja, incluant des antojitos, des tacos de rue, des cocktels de mariscos de même que des plats principaux à base de fruits de mer frais, de viandes grillées sur charbon de bois, de produits locaux et de salsas faites maison tous les jours. Celebrated my birthday dinner with a crew of 10 people. Drinks were excellent, food was amazing, and the birthday dessert nachos were wonderful. Only point of contention, was that our server was newer to the role. So things did take quite a while, but really appreciated her help! Overall, very great experience!

The food and staff were very good as usual; however, the house music playing over the speakers was incredibly loud. My wife and I agreed we prefer the live music performed at past dinners.

Me and My girlfriend were sat promptly after our reservation. I had informed the wait staff prior it was our anniversary. Sol Cocina went far above and beyond during tonight’s service. Our waitress was fantastic but we were also gifted a bottle of champagne and even a special dessert that said happy anniversary. Sadly we were in a little pinch for time so we were in and out rather quick. I’ve dined here for 3 anniversaries in a row now and I can’t imagine going anywhere else. One of my favorite restaurants to dine at because they just make you feel like family. I proposed to my girlfriend when we got home and SHE SAID YES!! Thank you to the staff at Sol cocina for making our night very special. They didn’t ask for anything in return but they deserve the world.

Weirdly disjointed service. Arrived 45 minutes earlier than my reservation. Was told to come back at reservation time. That’s fine. We went for a walk. We were 10 minutes into our walk when we received a text that our table was ready. As per instructions, I responded with a 1 to indicate I was “on my way.” We hustled back to SOL. When we arrived back to reception we were told they almost gave up our table. Chips and salsa arrived almost immediately, but it took 15 minutes to get our first drinks. We ordered quac when we ordered drinks. Quac showed up maybe 5 minutes before our marginal at best meal was dropped at our table. Will not return.

Service and food both good but the music is way too loud both inside and out. Drinks were excellent , I had the jalapeno cucumber spicy margarita and it was excellent. We had a party of 6 and sat inside but it was very difficult conversing with those in the party due to the volume of the music. Also, the parking garage is full forcing you to use valet. Unfortunately due to the music we will not be back. We were out for a family outing which included ages of those who were in the low 20’s who also thought it was too loud.
