The idea for SOL grew out of our many surf trips down the peninsula. We ate wood-grilled tacos, and fresh seafood ceviches at roadside stands. We camped under the stars on pristine beaches, and caught fish and lobster to grill over driftwood fires. We created SOL to share the uniquely fresh, simple coastal cooking of Baja and bring you the same wonderful feeling of relaxation that we love about Baja.

    Food was good and fresh. Service was very good. It was a weekday afternoon so a bit quiet. Elegant choice for a comfortable setting. Not noisy.

    Lunch visit. A very nice space, sunny and open. Starting out was brought a deliciously spicy salsa of chile de arbol, another of chipotle, and a third one of black beans to go with the crispy fried corn tortillas. Had the grilled corn appetizer (think esquites prepared tableside) and the chicken fajitas. Both were excellent. Very good selection of wines by the glass. Service was excellent, attentive and friendly.

    They gave us complementary corn chips and bean dip after we sat down and ordered. It was crispy and dip was good! I ordered set of 3 tacos and 2 sides, which was good. Location is convenient, near the 28th street station of N,W & R. High ceiling and spacious, very comfortable. It's not too expensive and server was nice.
