Sofia is an Italian-inspired kitchen that has an elevated take on traditional cuisine in a fun and funky setting in the warehouse district. Acclaimed chef Talia Diele's menu of inventive small plates, traditionally prepared meats and fish, handmade pasta, and wood fired pizza has drawn rave reviews locally and nationally.     Our reservation was at 8:15. We were not seated until after 8:30. The hostess was very accommodating and did get us drinks from the bar. Once we were seated our waitress was very disinterested. Perhaps she was having a bad day. Our food took forever coming out and we had to continuously inquire about it. The food was delicious when it arrived .

    Start of the evening was a bit shaky, as we sat for 10 min. before the host noticed we had not even gotten water, or been seen by the server, but he was apologetic and things quickly improved. The restaurant is NOT a place for a quiet dinner for two--it is very "high energy" (loud!) Cocktails were well-made and tasty. The two different pasta dishes we had were very good, with the pasta itself perfectly cooked. Grilled Napa lettuce appetizer was delicious as well. The Barbera by the glass was a nice wine. Panna Cotta dessert was delicious. Overall, a very good meal- we will return (I want to try the pizzas, which looked great).

    The food is consistently incredible and just so delicious. You cannot go wrong with anything on their menu. Our friends brought their toddler with them and the staff was also incredibly accommodating.

    We dine at Sofia every time we visit New Orleans. Gabe always makes us feel like family. Our picky 12 year old thinks it’s the best pasta he has ever had. Sofia always delivers!!!!

    Starting with the positive, the pizza was really great! The environment was beautiful as well. The service was bad, our server rarely came and checked on us or refilled waters and was super slow. The seafood appetizer was disgusting. It was a bunch of cold crab claws with no meat, cold fish dip that tasted like a gas station tuna sandwich served up with a lunch box bag of potato chips. That was a complete waste of $30. There’s great pizza many places so I wouldn’t go back for it.

    I am gluten free as is my husband. We tried Sofia based on reading that they had gluten free options. I am happy to report that we were able to have the whipped ricotta with Gf bread as an apprenticed and ordered a pizza and pasta both GF. Everything was amazing. One of the hardest parts of being gluten free is how tasteless most things are. However that was not the case at Sofia. Everything we had was amazing and no reactions

    Food is overpriced for portion and taste. Our waitress was miserable and unfriendly. But it was Xmas Eve, so.. It's probably good for a date night with pizzas, not so much for family.

    Great meal on Christmas Eve. The ricotta appetizer and the pesto pasta was our favorite.
