A slice of the Côte d’Azur nestled in the heart of Mayfair, our South Audley Street bistro is a place of nostalgic French-Mediterranean culinary traditions, where memories are made amidst playful murals in the relaxed embrace of our salons.

Socca is a modern French bistro that celebrates the distinctive taste of the French Riviera. Tucked away in Mayfair’s South Audley Street, the restaurant pays homage to the coastal towns of Cannes, Marseille and Nice.

Founders Samyukta Nair and Claude Bosi place emphasis on simplicity and seasonality, introducing a menu that honours fond childhood memories spent in the South of France and creating a marriage of comforting dishes elevated with refined skill and rooted in Provençal traditions.

The food here is consistently of a high standard. One of our favourite restaurants whenever we come to town.

I ate lunch here on a Monday with a girlfriend. We were slightly late for our reservation so I phoned to advise I was running late but on my way only to be met with a very lack lustre, disinterested response. The restaurant quickly filled up and the atmosphere was buzzy. We opted for the set menu at £28, my starter of fried squid with lime and sea salt was generous but unfortunately way too salty. My mains of sea bream in a tomato concasse with a side of broccoli was tasty. My friend had a nice green bean and strawberry salad to start and an unremarkable plate of gnocchi with tomato sauce to follow. She wasn't offered parmesan cheese, but noticed that others having the same dish were. We decided to have coffee and desert elsewhere.

Food was basic and expensive and did not represent value for money. The first course was almost finished before the wine arrived and we had to chase them for the wine for the second course. Service was patchy and the whole place feels like it needs work to become a well oiled machine and worthy of the investment in the fabric.

Excellent food and great atmosphere at Socca - highly recommend the lamb shoulder and baked Alaska. The lavender Negroni was summer in the south of France in a glass. Service can be a bit uneven - slow at the start.

I have dined here once before and I really enjoyed it for lunch. This time for a business dinner one on one. The location, design (authentic French), ambience, stylish guests, food (I had potato gnocchi and king prawns) and service all perfect. Enjoyable evening.

Socca did not disappoint. Every detail including the design, food, and atmosphere is gorgeous!!! Our tea experience was beautiful and full of flavor. A feast for all senses.
