SoCal Kitchen + Bar (formerly Del Mar SoCal Kitchen) is a full-service restaurant, offering the best of California-inspired dishes and cocktails. The restaurant pays homage to a SoCal Kitchen with “good food, good vibes and good times to remember.”

The talented culinary team led by Executive Chef Mike Fick, is fanatical about freshness and uses only the best fare from the farm, garden and sea. The restaurant also has a heavy focus on vegetarian and gluten free options.

SoCal Kitchen + Bar offers Brunch, Saturday and Sunday from 10am-3pm.

Arrived a half hour before our reservation and were able to be seated. Our server was very attentive and did a great job. Started off with the bourbon drink and a glass of moscato. Both were enjoyable. Next up we had mussels and the edamame dumplings. The curry mussels were out of this world! Husband even drank the broth! Dumplings were also delicious. For dinner we split the vegetable sushi, ahi tuna sushi and shrimp ceviche. (Second round of drinks as well!) All three were fantastic. This place is not cheap, but you are getting quality food. Our bill was $150 before tip for all the food and four drinks and we left very satisfied.

I loved it! Our server was awesome and happy hour deals were incredible. Tried oysters for the first time…fabulous!! I recommend the potato bread!

Sushi for brunch was perfect and taste was delicious! Their version of an espresso martini was fantastic. Bring one to Pittsburgh!

Had a great dinner celebrating a table-mate’s birthday. I noted on the OpenTable reservation we were celebrating and they had a birthday card ready for them upon seating. We ordered some desserts and the cake came out with a lot candle and a “Happy Birthday” chocolate, and then the birthday cake was comped at the end of the meal. Food was delicious and the server’s recommendations were right on (the potato bread app and the fried snapper entree).

This was just "okay". My husband loved the salmon. I ordered the crispy snapper recommended as one of the top two dishes and it really wasn't good.

Very nice atmosphere, service was excellent and so was the food but a little pricey. Definitely worth a try!

Wonderful service and evening out for my cousin’s 40th birthday. Sergei was our server and he was absolutely wonderful! Super attentive, professional and kind. He was so organized and handled our large party effortlessly. Would definitely come back and hope to be in his section again.

We had a nice dinner. The food was very good and we had good service. The potato monkey bread was very tasty. The tacos and sweet potatoes were great. My husband and I split the dinner because it was more than enough food for us.

This is one of my favorite places for Sunday brunch. They have multiple of menu items that I like and I love the cocktails. The restaurant is very pretty with a good ambiance. Plus it’s in the short north that is always lively on the weekends.
