Our name has a special meaning to us. The Chinese character in “SO” means “creative" and we strive to never be boring or typical.

Please visit our original location in Tarzana for lunch or dinner. In addition to a la carte, we have an awesome set menu during lunch and dinner such as sushi lovers, sashimi lovers, and roll lovers for you to try our finest fish and great portions.

We are professional sushi chefs here to make your fine food and create specials upon request. But most importantly, we want our customers to feel like they are friends and family and have a good time while eating great food.

Love “So Sushi” Food is wonderful and inventive! Particularly loved the Salmon Skin salad, Crunchy sushi roll, and garlic edamame. Ambience and service is as good as the food!

This is my new favorite spot . The food, ambiance, and overall vibe were great. The sushi is spectacular. The portions are good size. The restaurant itself is beautiful. They have a private room for Omakse as well. I tried it with a friend, and it was spectacular as well and actually pretty affordable for Omakase. The decor is very traditional Japanese. It's beautiful and impressive . This place is a gem. 5 stars.

SO sushi is a hidden gem and our go to for fresh insanely delicious food. It’s better than Nobu in my opinion and we live there and frequent this place 1-2 a week. Cupcake rolls, BPS Salmon, Solantro, Just Eat and Lemon Roll are must haves there. I love the owners Ryo & Taka. The vibe is awesome and it’s just our fave 🙌

Exceptional sushi and now expanded into their new location across the parking lot. The salmon skin salad is incredible.

Reservations mean nothing and you will still have to wait additional time for others to leave so I don’t understand the purpose of making a reservation. Staff was very busy and did not answer questions about dishes or were not knowledgeable.

So Sushi has transformed into a hip, modern sushi spot. All the great food at the bar is comfortably served in the stylish new setting. Also great to see that core staff is still taking care of the customers.
