The pub was in a lovely location. We booked a roast for 14:30 and arrived then, we were informed after arriving that there was no roast pork or chicken left and only Beef. This meant our daughter had no option for a roast dinner. The roast beef was £22 and was two very thin slices, the roast potatoes were similar to frozen ones and the vegetables were presented as steamed on a bowl for us to share. There was no roasted vegetables available or on the plate. The two roast dinners came out about 5 minutes before any of the vegetables or our daughter’s meal and was getting cold. I found the roast very overpriced for what it was, which was a shame as the service and location was good. We won’t be returning, as unfortunately this was the worst roast dinner I’ve had in Sussex.

Although I appreciate the menu was short and sweet, the variety was lacking. That said, we were able to ask for added bits that weren’t on the menu. Lovely friendly staff and nice relaxed atmosphere. Will come again.

Food was good and enjoyable. Large portion of pork belly. Cauliflower tempura starter brilliant.

Nice food, however not as special as the price would suggest. 22 pounds is too expensive

It is a lovely pub with good staff unfortunately the food let it down we will not be back.

The meet and greet was super, the food delicious and delivered very quickly after placing our order. An all round great time.
