We think these steaks are so distinctive and delicious that we were inspired to create a new kind of steakhouse. A steak, after all, is the culinary expression of our most primal instincts. yet the experience of going out for a great steak has become steeped in extravagance and excess.

Smoque Steak eschews these conventional steakhouse values of excess and opulence, and instead focuses on excellence, hospitality, accessibility, value, and convenience. Our core premises—that a steakhouse need not be grandiose to be special, pretentious to be unique, or exorbitant to be great—have informed every decision and detail, from the steak itself to the casual atmosphere and carefully orchestrated hospitality.

Our filets were delicious as were the brussels sprouts and potatoes gratin. The lobster grits was underwhelming. It was served room temperature and the grits were lacking the distinct ”grit flavor” I love when we travel down south. The dish probably would have been enjoyed more if it were hot. We weren’t asked how it was when the dishes were cleared away otherwise we would have said something. My wine glass went empty with the appetizer and I wasn’t given a chance for a refill without fllagging down our waiter. Overall, a good meal but for the price we wanted to be blown away.

Smoque Steak is beyond fabulous. Our second visit and came with friends and I was concerned that I raised their expectations beyond what was realistic. Wrong. They both talked about "the next time we are here..." they thought the environment, service were only bettered by the incredible food. These are steak lovers and both said that they had never had such a terrific steak. Our server was Brandon and he was knowledgeable, friendly, had a great sense of humor and made our evening that much more enjoyable. Please keep this guy around for my next outing. Smoque has done it again.

Seating is extremely close. I listened to the couple next to me conversation the entire dinner. Very distracting. Steak was good but not great especially for the cost. Server was good. Very quiet though had to have her repeat everything

As usual the steaks and frites were sensational. A terrific surprise was the pork chop. Absolutely one of the best I've ever had. Tender and succulent, Worth a special trip .

This casual neighborhood split is a gem. We took a group of 4 to brunch so that we could all try different dishes. The ribeye was incredible. It's smoky flavor was a 10 and already has us planning to go back for dinner. The Lobster Benedict was another hit. We liked the Shrimp and Grits too. our least fave was the Chicken and Waffles. The chicken was a little dry for our taste. Overall, a great experience. Can't wait to go back!

Our party of 4 each had different entrees and each of us were very pleased. My friend had the pork chop and said it was the best pork chop he’s ever had, and he’s been to all the restaurants that promote they have the best. Only criticism was Smoque charged $5 for bread that was hard and stale. Charging for bread felt “cheap” for Smoque to do. Overall we will definitely be back.

This used to be one of my favorite spots. The service was not great...the steaks were not as delicious... It seemed like amateur hour... I was very disappointed and will not be going back.
