Whereas traditional Tex-Mex uses a Santa Maria Grill, Tex-Que derives from our offset Smoker to cook all of our proteins and incorporate them into our inclusive menu. Smoky Rose offers all of the Texas staples from our top rated Brisket Queso, to our delicious smoked Brisket Tacos. We have it all - made fresh in our scratch kitchen. Smoky Rose is one of our go-to restaurants. We enjoy the ambience and the food is always solid. We had prompt, friendly service and an enjoyable dinner on a dreary night.

Nice local spot with great areas for families to gather. We were looking for something a little more intimate for a date night and our table was very small and pushed up against a post(we opted for outdoor dining)so little legroom for us tall people. Also table next to us was less than 2 feet away so for to listen to their conversation all night. Food and service very good and prompt for a Saturday night. Next visit would be with a group of friends or our family.

The service? Absolutely pathetic. I stood around waiting to be acknowledged like a ghost in broad daylight. When I finally got to place my order, the waitress never introduced herself, never checked in, and never even bothered to clear the table. It was like she disappeared into thin air—too bad she didn’t take the awful service with her. The wait for food was a complete joke. By the time my sandwich arrived, I had aged a few years, and for what? A dry, lifeless excuse for a meal. No moisture, no flavor, just pure disappointment between two pieces of bread. And when I wanted to leave? Oh, that was a whole new level of frustration. I practically had to send out a search party to find someone willing to bring me the check. How is it this hard to do the bare minimum? This place is an embarrassment. If you enjoy being ignored, waiting endlessly, and eating uninspired food, then by all means, give them your money. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and go somewhere that actually respects its customers.

We ate in the patio area which was nice since it was still “outside” but screened off and heated. Great food and great atmosphere!

Pros: Location Come on a nice day and sit outside. The patio is enjoyable. The wings were good, the dry rub was sweet and savory but the blue cheese did not complement the wing (not much flavor and needs to be thicker). Cons: The desserts need to be reworked. The Dr Pepper sheet cake was not a sheet cake, couldn’t taste Dr Pepper and was a thick cake not sheet. The peach cobbler tasted like baby food. Cobbler should have some crunch and texture. Valet- why? Maybe on a busy night but not a slow weekend night. When we left there was a line of people waiting for our cars and they were right at the front door. I stood waiting for mine to be open.

The Valet was fine, the outdoor patio space was very cool with fire pits and large gathering areas for groups. We were there early so it was overrun by kids running all over the place. Probably a good use of space for the time of day. Inside is very large and open, which was accommodating. When full, I would imagine this restaurant gets loud. Service was okay- server was not friendly, but was attentive. Our app did not come out first (deviled eggs), our sandwiches arrived 5 min after we ordered them. The Cuban sandwich was outstanding , the brisket cheesesteak was meh- decent flavor, very cheap on the product. The deviled eggs had no flavor, I would not recommend. The server did not charge us for the deviled eggs because they did not come out first, which we appreciated. Overall, the experience was good but not fantastic.

It’s always a great time at the Smoky Rose! The service was not the best that it’s ever been , but other than this one off, it was a fantastic time!

Brought my family that came from out of town to have an early dinner before going to Christmas at Arboretum. We had a reservation and granted it was early, however did not expect to get our food sooooo fast! Our waitress was fabulous and the food as usual did not disappoint! Always a great place and fun music as well.
