Welcome to Smoking Lobster Cowes, an Asian-Fusion restaurant overlooking Cowes Marina. Voted best Isle of Wight restaurant two years in a row.

Family owned by the Giancovich's, with recipes influenced by their extensive travels around Asia, and by their childhood of growing up hunting, gathering, and spear-fishing for seafood.

Our popular menu showcases Japanese and Asian dishes,
using contemporary cooking skills and presentation.
Sushi, sashimi & Japanese BBQ are the highlights.
Our local fisherman, Justin, catches our lobsters & line caught sea bass fresh for our use, so our dishes include the freshest possible ingredients from your local shores.

The bar menu reflects the elegant dishes from the kitchen, with precise, bespoke cocktails such as the Lychee and Cucumber Martini, all prepared using freshly pressed juices.

We offer formal dining areas, private dining areas and casual dining areas. If you fancy just a drink, let us know.

It was good to go on a less busy night, sometimes it’s very noisy particularly at the weekends. Food always good and staff attentive.

A great night out for our work Christmas meal. The tasting menu was excellent, really interesting and tasty food, beautifully presented. Great service, a very enjoyable evening. Highly recommended.

Food outstanding, service very poor very neglected, had to ask for a drinks ask for pudding. Everything felt like we was totally neglected. Never asked if our food was okay unlike the table next door who I have to say received 100% of the waitresses attention. We have been here many times and never experienced this, really it was a shame. Maybe if we owned a yacht and not a kayak we might have received a bit more attention.

Food was excellent, service was patchy. Too many staff talking to each other instead of paying attention to guests. Too, half an hour to get the bill. They said they had a new ‘system’ and it was a nightmare. Train your staff on the new system so the guest experience isn’t impacted
