We love the simplicity of seasonal and local ingredients. Modern dining and ancient techniques such as smoking, curing and preserving are at the heart of our restaurant. These aspects motivate us as well as bringing in other global flavours, ingredients, and cuisines. In this way, we try to reflect the diversity and multiculturality of South London and the UK through our food.

Guests will be offered our five OR seven course sharing menus only with options available for dietary requirements only.

If no tables are available do give us a call on 07421327556, we may have something extra available!

Smoke & Salt is run by co-chefs Aaron Webster (Dinner by Heston and The Latymer at Pennyhill Park) & Remi Williams (Craigie on Main and Deuxave) who initially met at The Shed, Notting Hill. Originally a monthly supper-club started in 2014, the pair want to create a relaxed and affordable dining space which is accessible to all.

We’d been meaning to try this restaurant for a while and it completely surpassed our expectations. I rarely bother writing reviews but we were so impressed. Genuine, attentive and friendly service alongside delicious and original food - what’s not to like.

All elements of our meal were fantastic. The staff were polite and very attentive. This was a special treat with a friend and we would both recommend smoke& salt as a great fine dining restaurant experience, well worth the trip to Tooting.

Another fantastic evening at Smoke and Salt. They are now serving on individual plates, I had no issue with sharing plates. New summer menu, the turnips and lamb were particular stand outs. My dining partner who ‘doesn’t really like lamb’, polished off his lamb before me! As ever the wine pairing and service was spot on.

A hidden gem. Great cooking full of flavour in a relaxed atmosphere. Wonderful music playlist too! Highly recommend

We had a lovely experience at smoke and salt this Saturday for lunch. It was quiet but we didn’t mind having the place to ourselves. Staff were welcoming. It’s on the pricey side esp if you compare vegetarian to meat options but I still think worth it as it was a birthday treat. Food was delicious. Wines were delightful.

Again, another exceptional meal and experience at smoke and salt. This is our 6th time to dine here and each menu has been faultless. Since our last visit, you no longer share from one plate but have a plate each which is better. We went for the 5 course tasting menu and were nicely full leaving. There is also a 7 course menu which we will do next time! Excellent value for money as the menu is carefully planned with delightful food!
