We love the simplicity of seasonal and local ingredients. Modern dining and ancient techniques such as smoking, curing and preserving are at the heart of our restaurant. These aspects motivate us as well as bringing in other global flavours, ingredients, and cuisines. In this way, we try to reflect the diversity and multiculturality of South London and the UK through our food. We are a Catey and Time Out Love London award-winning restaurant with mentions in the Good Food Guide and the esteemed Michelin Guide.

We are pleased to offer one of the cheapest tasting menu experiences in London too - so don't hesitate to book us for your next special occasion.

Guests will be offered our five OR seven course sharing menus only with options available for dietary requirements only.

This is your chance to meet two of Catalonia's most lauded organic winemakers: Cellar Hidalgo Albert - 'The Hidalgo Albert family has been working in the world of wine for over 25 years. Their approach has always been to focus on creating high quality wines from the south zone of Catalonia.' Can Valles Winery - 'Can Valles is a family estate ran by Jordi and Vicky Valles. Their origins are a long history, dating back to 1486 which is 22 generations of winemaking.' The wine dinner is priced at £80 per person (excluding Service Charge) and will include 5 small plates from Smoke & Salt and 5 tasting wines. A £10 per head booking deposit will be taken through Opentable, this will be offset against your final bill for the evening.

Fabulous food, every course was very tasty, and excellent value for money in London. Service could not be faulted. Great atmosphere, we even asked what the playlist was in the background.

much enjoyed restaurant, especially courteous, attentive but not intrusive and knowledgeable service. menu inventive and very good. noise level a bit annoying. hop to go back shortly.

Loved the food and wine pairing, every course was very impressively displayed and tasted wonderful too. The waiters and waitresses were very well informed and nice to speak with.

Love the atmosphere, staff were attentive, food was fantastic, went for 5 course taster menu. Every dish was delicious.

We had the most amazing meal at smoke and salt. 7 course tasting menu with 5 paired wines. Every course was a fantastic taste sensation. Service was scored a little lower as they had 2 waiters off sick so all staff were kicking in with servicing. I really couldn’t recommend it enough. I recommend rushing to book before they change the menu!!! We had trout, summer turnips and lamb for 3 of the courses 5⭐️

Found this great restaurant now. Was always on my place to visit to try as I love modern British contemporary cooking. Atmosphere was not too busy and service was brilliant along with cooking. We had 7 courses with wine pairing. All plates were creative and delightful. Will definitely comeback when menu changes for the next season, but hopefully sooner.

We’d been meaning to try this restaurant for a while and it completely surpassed our expectations. I rarely bother writing reviews but we were so impressed. Genuine, attentive and friendly service alongside delicious and original food - what’s not to like.
