Excellent meal in warm, lively stmodohrre. Be prepared to down money but meal was terrific…. Get the chocolate cake for desert!!!

We can always depend upon good service at Smith and Wolensky, but the meal was very disappointing. The rolls were dry/stale, a veal chop which would normally be very tender was dry and a little tough despite being served med. rare, but the Chilean sea bass was good. Good choice of wines as expected. The flaming baked Alaska was disappointing as well. The cookie under crust was hard and tasteless, and the meringue was too sweet. Even the coffee was not up to usual standards, weak and served warm. This was a Friday night, yet the restaurant seemed to be only 2/3rds full. The lack of consistent quality may well be the reason.

I highly recommend Smith & Wollensky to anyone in the area looking for a delicious steak dinner. I ordered the gorgonzola crusted filet and it was incredible. Everyone in my party also enjoyed their meals along with the assortment of sides. Our waiter, Elio, was very attentive and extremely polite. We never had to ask him for anything, he was already on it.

Love everything about this restaurant! Great food great atmosphere, drinks were amazing and balanced and great service! Have been coming here for the last 5 years to celebrate my birthday and they never disappoint! Marking it in my calendar for next year!!

2nd dinner in a row disappointed at this restaurant. Steak not cooked as ordered- and no one asked. Order for my son incorrect, table next to us ordered after us and served first, asked “how long of a dinner we’d have” when we arrived and then sat way in the back in a side room. Server was nice, drinks were good. Honestly expected with more competition in town they would step it up:( we used to go monthly but it’s getting less and less frequent

I was very disappointed after loving the experience I had here about 10 years ago. First, A STEAK HOUSE WITH NO BAKED POTATO!!???? Second, we had to ask for bread and I've never seen such a tiny serving of pull apart doughy white rolls. No crusty bread basket?! No one refilled our empty water glasses. The Wagyu steak is overrated and overpriced. However, our waiter was nice, friendly and prompt. The oysters were outstanding. Thge drinks were excellent and the ten layer giant chocolate cake was to die for! If you're not a stickler for "traditional" steakhouse items and you don't mind dropping over $900 for 8 drinks, two glasses of wine, one appetizer and four desserts it's worth a go.
