Don’t bother with Miami Spice, what they claim is a filet was sufficiently lacking, tough with much gristle. Salad looked less than fresh, mashed potatoes over salted. Wine selection is good. Wait staff very accommodating, management not so much.

I was super excited for our first experience at Smith & Wollensky, I’ve been to Prime 112 and I’ve had a wonderful experience so our expectation was that this experience will be similar. Our reservation was early, the restaurant wasn’t busy, even though there was plenty of tables open by the window for some reason they didn’t allow us to sit there but instead made us sit in the middle which didn’t make sense, some of the tables by the window were still open by the time we left. Secondly, their ceiling was leaking on the table they sit us and they still made us sit there. Soon their ceiling started leaking on me so we asked the manager if we can switch tables and they only allowed us to sit the table in the middle next to it. Not too long after, they made another couple sit on the table knowing that is leaking, this tells you how shady this restaurant is or the manager. Third and most important, I ask for tap water and they bring me water with dead fly in it? I call the server and the manager and show him and they said they will take care of it. One hour later I still got no water, I call a different server and ask for water and they bring me water with a dead fly AGAIN. At this point I’m grossed out to even eat here because I don’t know if they have a fly issue in their water or I got served the same water twice. The manager came to ask how is everything and I told him that I got served water with dead fly in it twice and his response was “do you want me to bring a top for your glass so flies don’t get inside your water” I told him that these flies didn’t fly inside my water, he didn’t say nothing.Honestly I didn’t expect for a manager of a high end place like this to have nothing to say about their poor service,I would’ve gotten a better response from an Applebees manager if I was served water twice with a dead fly. Food portion are big and the food is good that’s why I gave 3 stars, but service is 0. If I’m going to spend alot$ on dinner I deserve good service

My husband and I went there for Miami Spice. I ordered signature salad and needed to return it because it didn’t look fresh and there was a hair in it! Our waiter was very helpful and they changed it with burrata, which was very good. My main course was filet mignon and it was great, the puree however was a bit salty for me. The menu was so filling that I couldn’t even finish the cheesecake. I gave 4 stars because of the unfortunate salad issue in the beginning. I still want to go there again to try the Wagyu. Apart from the food, the view was so nice and the interior was nice too. Should’ve stayed indoors though, because the flies were bothering us outside.

Quality of the food is not that great. Too expensive for what you get. There are other steak houses in Miami that are much better. I ordered and NY Strip medium rare, and it arrived medium. Steak was a bit tough, and even though they say it is dry-aged, this one did not taste like one. I rather go to Council Oaks at the Hard Rock, which has a great atmosphere and the steaks are 10 times better than the ones at S&W.
