Disappointing! Beautiful space and server was sweet but not aware of what food was not available that night. Many things were 86’d. Food was not good. Veal parm was overcooked, lamb shank was not falling off bone, bronzino was tasteless and filet was just average. The bartender was struggling- gin and tonic with no limes, out of Hendricks and several beers and no whipped cream or froth for espresso martinis and Irish coffees. Overall, super disappointing.

My first time at this new location. Everything from the food, ambiance and service was amazing! Will be dining here again.

Here are some potential improvements: a bit lower level of background music, was hard to hear friends. Not sure why would you make a crab and artichoke dip super spicy, would be better without chili flakes. Offer them on the side. Not all people enjoy spicy. It is a shared appetizer dish. Orzo in my branzino dish was slimy and cold. I would rather have it warm with fish. Carrots were overcooked.

We had three appetizers (Cauliflower, Crab/Artichoke dip and Carpaccio) and three entrees (Sea Bass, Lamb Shank & Braised Ribs). All were flavorful, but generally of small portions considering the high prices. The Lamb Shank portion was reasonable, but had a lot of fat and the Brussels Sprouts were all but uncooked. With a low-end bottle of Le Boss Cabernet Sauvignon at $57, the dinner for three came in at $310 (with tip)!! Don't come here looking for value. Service (Tim) was excellent. Come about 7:15PM, the place was hopping and people were waiting for tables. The restaurant must be doing something right to be that busy, but we won't likely return.

We ate here for our anniversary and enjoyed it very much! Atmosphere and food was great. Tim, our waiter, was very attentive and kind! Will definitely be returning.

Smashing grapes is a beautiful restaurant in the Merriweather District next to the Color Burst Park. Love the free ample parking. The restaurant is beautiful and food is yummy. The service was slow even though the restaurant was not that busy.

Service was very slow, and the menu was quite limited. My wife and I have been there several times but likely not again.

Beautiful space & ambience! Lovely wine list and menu. Service as pleasant but all items ordered delivered at the same time - appetizer, salad & entree - which was not preferable. Will try again.

Loved our waitress. She was so sweet! Sorry I do not remember her name. The drinks took quite a while to arrive but were delivered with a smile by another server Food was very good! The restaurant was not busy but they sat a full table very close right next to us while there were plenty of others available in the space. That was a bit uncomfortable Otherwise, had a great time! I will return
