It was such a negative experience and on Father's Day. Despite being dead, after 45 minutes our food came out before our appetizers ever did. The manager seemed not to have control of his restaurant or kitchen.

the grilled oysters were excellent, the gumbo os OK needs kicked up with mre spice. the fish was great with crispy skin as well as the fingerling potatoes. The fish sandwich is no thing special .

First time dining at Slick Lips for a date night. The wife and I were in the mood for great seafood. Unfortunately, we didn’t get it at this location. Appetizer was parm and garlic oysters. The overall size of the oysters were slightly larger than a nickel and drenched in grease. No flavor at all of garlic nor Parmesan. Overall appearance was comical with the tiny size of the oysters with large shells and little meat to enjoy. Main entree was fried grouper basket and the blackened mahi basket. Fried grouper appeared to be refried along with the French fries in both baskets. My wife took one bite and was turned off by the lack of freshness and flavor. Grease covered the inside of the fish to the point it leaked onto the paper of the basket. The blackened mahi was fairly good and seasoned well. The hush puppies also were pretty good. Our server was well educated on the menu, and very attentive. Overall impression of the dining experience left us not wanting to come back, nor recommend this business to friends. For $105 bill, the food was NOT worth it in my opinion.

The food was terrible. The Executive Chef Jay Ammons was extremely rude to myself, my family and my Mother In Law. The waitress was amazing, understanding and apologetic. When patrons do not like food, telling them that no nothing is wrong with the food while walking away is unacceptable, unprofessional, and downright rude. I recommend no one support this establishment. Pensacola has many great restaurants that offer five star service and high quality food, this place is absolutely NOT that.

We were pleasantly surprised by the attentive service and excellent food. My husband loved the gumbo and the baked oysters and grouper sandwich were very tasty. The house hot sauce,(Slick Lips), is amazing and is available for purchase. We bought 2 bottles.

My family and I had lunch there. Table was ready when we arrived. Parking can be a little tricky but there is a pay to park 1 block away. Great location. Everyone enjoyed there meals My daughter in law had the waffles and said they were amazing. Husband and son had oysters and said they were really good

BAD Experience!!! Our party of 5 was unable to be seated and served on Mother’s Day!! But wait…we had reservations along with 3 other parties that couldn’t be served either. We could see that there were open tables available but the hostess told us the manager said not to seat anyone else because the kitchen was backed up. This was an unfortunate inconvenience that could have been avoided. Either hire more help and/or manage your online reservation links properly.

Very Disappointed in Service!! We had a reservation and it took a waiter 30 minutes to visit our table. They were busy cause of Mothers Day but we had a reservation and we had to ask our waitress where our appetizer was….She Forgot!! We waited close to 2 hours for our food so we didn’t wait and LEFT!! No lunch for Mothers Day! The restaurant wasn’t busy towards end and we waited and waited. Doesn’t have it all together…

We will never go back. Server avoided bussing the table, which was a 6 top even though we had a reservation for 7 people. Food was mediocre or worse. Food took forever to come out, came out 2 at a time, with several minutes gap until the next plate or 2 came out. One order wrong and one order never even put into the kitchen. Add to all of this delight that there is not a single soft surface anywhere in the place so table conversation had to be at a near screaming level to hear over the other tables. They have/had a great reputation in Destin, but this location is truly awful.
