What a huge disappointment- usually all restaurants in snowmass /Aspen are expensive but they are all really good, slice of Italy was disappointing. What was good ? the pizza and the Lamb chops. What was terrible ? Papardelle bolognese , how do you screw this up ? It’s a basic dish in Italian cuisine … It was served cold, pork, veal sauce was bland and lacked sauce. Another typical dish , the carbonara … more bacon ham than pasta It was acidic as well. Pasta was subpar for both dishes- did not have that homemade taste and quality - lobster ravioli - it had more of a crab meat taste than lobster. There’s nothing wrong with spending a lot of money for great food. It is what it is when you go to these ski resorts, but this one was a disaster. La nonna for example in vail is amazing and worth every penny spent. If you want pizza the place is fine but skip on the entree dishes.

They ran out of pasta which was why we booked Risotto had very little flavour and was overcooked Very small chicken portion

Where do I start? 4 of us were squeezed in at a table for 2, they ran out of the pasta I ordered and substituted another without asking or telling me, they charged us $6 for one extra piece of bread in an appetizer and to cap off a disappointing evening, our ticket at the end of the night was wrong. As for food, the pizza was fine but the pasta was average.

While the outdoor seating on the upper patio was very nice, we found the food expensive and mediocre at best. The bolognese, which should have been the star, was flavorless. The tarragon lobster ravioli was good. It came in 2 sizes with the smaller size having only 3 small raviolis for $26. It was laughable as it barely covered the bottom of the tiny bowl it was served in. Pizza was good but not great. Service, however, was very good. But they need better food to serve. It’s nothing like the food I eat in Italy.

We very much enjoyed our dinner at Slice. The lobster ravioli was delicious as were the salads and pizza!

THIS was a fantastic authentic Italian restraunt. I have an Italian deli myself and it was very very good. Pizza was 7 out of 10, but the veal bolognase and the caprese salad were spot on. The steak was phenomenal, the staff was fantastic, we had a group of 7, and it was slammed that night and the manager was doing things himself to keep people happy, sooo very pleased. Well done and owner should be thankful to have the fantastic staff he has. recomend this for sure as a must do in snowmass.
