Skull Creek Dockside Restaurant, dropped its anchor in the Fall of 2017 and forever changed the culinary landscape of the Lowcountry. In early 2017 the partners of the restaurant began to transform it into their vision for Hilton Head's newest waterfront dining destination. This restaurant, which resembles an old-style river house, is full of authentic architecture, reclaimed wood, and nautical accents that leave you feeling like you've stepped into a Melville novel. The sweeping waterfront view is showcased by full pane glass windows throughout the restaurant which you can enjoy no matter where you dine. The covered patio dining area, and massive outdoor bar, the shark bar, allows patrons to enjoy the Lowcountry climate and serve to further highlight the amazing sunset views over skull creek. If you are concerned about long wait times, the good news is the restaurant accepts reservations and provides a family recreation area between dockside and boathouse. Kids and adults can enjoy a variety of games, the very popular shark bar and 'shrimp boat' playground. Kids can play while families are waiting for a table, or simply enjoying the amazing waterfront views.

Our server, Nic, is a ROCK STAR, and we enjoyed him. That being said you can tell that most of the staff working there are not happy in their jobs. There were also 2-3 managers who seemed to be observing and analyzing the flow of diners on their iPads throughout the restaurant. I'm hoping that it's with the intention to fix a few things because this place really has a great location and has potential in the current menu.

Great options for everyone. We have a vegetarian and there were plenty of options. There was also bbq offered, which was a nice change from the normal menu items.

Love that you offer reservations…big party the week of July 4th and having reservations was a giant plus…especially when we overheard it was a 2+ hour wait when we walked in the door!!

Food was excellent and our server was phenomenal. Did not appreciate having to wait for our table well past our reservation. The hostess did not even offer an apology and cited one of the reasons we had to wait was due to setting up the table with a high chair. When we were finally seated there was no high chair and had to request one. Made 0 sense. Appetizers then came out at different times and dinner came out less than 5 minutes after the last appetizer came out. Made us feel very rushed after having to wait for our table. Would also like to note our reservation was for 5:45 as we had a toddler.

Great time! The location is great and love the inside (or outside). Our waiter was wonderful. Food was good - some of us got seafood and others got items from the smoker. One person got a steak and that was just ok - I'd stick to seafood when here.

beautiful place to watch the sunset. the losbter and the crab legs were not as good as some other places we have been in HH. Overall though a fun place to have dinner with the family.
