Skull Creek Dockside Restaurant, dropped its anchor in the Fall of 2017 and forever changed the culinary landscape of the Lowcountry. In early 2017 the partners of the restaurant began to transform it into their vision for Hilton Head's newest waterfront dining destination. This restaurant, which resembles an old-style river house, is full of authentic architecture, reclaimed wood, and nautical accents that leave you feeling like you've stepped into a Melville novel. The sweeping waterfront view is showcased by full pane glass windows throughout the restaurant which you can enjoy no matter where you dine. The covered patio dining area, and massive outdoor bar, the shark bar, allows patrons to enjoy the Lowcountry climate and serve to further highlight the amazing sunset views over skull creek. If you are concerned about long wait times, the good news is the restaurant accepts reservations and provides a family recreation area between dockside and boathouse. Kids and adults can enjoy a variety of games, the very popular shark bar and 'shrimp boat' playground. Kids can play while families are waiting for a table, or simply enjoying the amazing waterfront views.

Everything was great, everyone was great. Heidi made some recommendations and all were as she said. It was a nice last meal with friends on our last night in HHI for 2024 before going back home to NY.

So so good. The food was absolutely great and the view beautiful- even though it was too cold to eat outside.

Above average in overall and for a Friday night, not that crowded. The fish was excellent and served very hot. What a welcome change from most restaurants. Kudos. Dockside is still fairyly priced compared to many of the other restaurants in the area. They also have a menu that should make it easy for anyone to find something that would be appealing to them.

Loved our dinner at Skull Creek Dockside. Service was impeccable. Food was plentiful and delicious. We went for the early dining special and it was a great value. We will be back on our next visit to Hilton Head!

Wow! What an amazing dinner. First off… hats of to our serve Jody for being AMAZING! And a big thank you to the manager Joy for being WONDERFUL! We were celebrating my husband’s 40th birthday. He was wished a Happy Birthday as soon as we checked in. Joy wanted us to have a choice since it was his birthday if we sat in a booth or a table. We were sat with Jody being our server who was just fantastic. She has such a bubbly personality and could handle my husband’s witty humor. My husband loves seafood Alfredo so that’s what he ordered. When it arrived, he wasn’t a big fan because it was coated in Parmesan cheese (which made it smell really bad) and was more gritty than saucy. Joy happened to walk by and check on us and he told they may want to cut back on the Parmesan. She insisted it be remade to his liking. So it was and it came out much better. We were then given a choice of dessert to celebrate the birthday. When we got our bill, Joy had comped the Alfredo and Jody had covered the dessert. We told them they didn’t have to do such a thing, and they kept telling us “it’s his birthday.” We had such a wonderful experience because of these two and plan to go back when in the area. We didn’t want to leave because we enjoyed talking with them.

Every time I visit my parents , dockside is my first choice for an evening out ! Everyone is always so nice. The food is fantastic. The atmosphere is happy, everything is truly perfect! This time I met the manager Chris, who was truly the happiest friendliest and most amazing human I have met a very long time 🥰. His joyous fun energy made our entire experience the best ever !
