Been to Duke’s a few times over the years and it’s always a pleasure. Top notch service and really awesome menu — the chef is very creative. I had the Barbara — vegan pizza with jackfruit which is now my go-to order. Everyone was happy with their dishes and complimented the imaginative flavour combinations. The starter was Szechuan green beans — the sauce was so good we asked for bread to soak it up the leftovers with! My only complaint was the folks at the next table. We were having an intimate family dinner for the first half of our evening. A party of about 10 then appeared and was seated next to us. They may have been drinking already, but regardless they were quite raucous. I’ve been here on busier nights and the noise has never been a problem. As a result the evening was cut short. I don’t expect the restaurant to be held liable for customer behaviour. However, it would have been nice if the server had offered to switch our table. This is the only time I have been motivated to give this restaurant a less than perfect review. I am sure your experience will be as wonderful as ours usually are!

Good was fantastic, and the atmosphere was great. Noise is as much as you’d expect from a bar/pub, although I guess the table I had (dining table near the bar) was particularly noisy because it was right by the entrance, so people were coming and going. That’s fine though. Food is expensive, but the Amelia pizza was phenomenal!

Couldn't ask for better food or cocktails. We had the new Okonomiyaki-Style Brussels Sprouts and we will be back for more... even my friend who usually hates brussels!

Great team work on the service department, very attentive. The appetizers Vietnamese ribs and the shrimp dish were delicious. The main courses were good but not exceptional. Salmon and coconut rice as well as the southern like fried chicken. Dessert: chocolate torte, was very tasty and rich. The experience price menu was GREAT $39 for 3 courses. Overall good experience definitely will try again.

Our waitress Jasmine was excellent. The food came out in a very poor way. One meal was undercooked, 2 meals were cold. We ate in shifts, which was not great for our experience. But the taste in the food was great. I will credit them for fixing the issue for us..

Ambiance was nice , though table beside us was uncomfortably loud. Food arrived quickly as well as drinks.server was very professional. Food is where we had an issue. The salt content was extremely high and over powered any flavour that the dish may have had. Left the restaurant feeling like my body was struggling to digest all the salt. Will not return

David, thank-you for your honest and detailed review. We really appreciate being able to hear this feedback, though I'm sorry about the mistakes we made that led to you having to share it. While it's sometimes difficult to manage all of our patrons' behaviours, it's certainly something we should be actively monitoring so we can make efforts to intervene when it starts to affect another guest's experience. I apologize that we allowed fellow diners to negatively impact your visit. Of course, the issues with the food are troubling, and definitely not what we're striving for. If you have additional details about which dishes you had that might help us address this with our kitchen team, we'd be grateful to hear more.
