We have to been to sisserous several times the restaurant is open, although not super big, although there is inside seating bar seating and outdoor eating area. The food was good, my party, started with the coconut shrimp appetizer , the there was a bread and butter accompaniment with a hot sauce component. I ordered the red snapper , the presentation of the plate . The other members of my party got the Cuban sandwhich which looked good and came with a side of Mac and cheese and the Rasta pasta. On this occasion we were celebrating a birthday, so our waiter Max brought out a rum cake with a candle. The whole meal and experience was great and that is why sisserous is one of our favorites we will be back again.

Our first time to visit. The food, service and staff were amazing!! We will return. Jazz night was fantastic!! We enjoyed the entertainment!

The food and service were wonderful. I had the pork terloin cooked medium. It was delicious! My friend had the jerk chicken and she enjoyed it as well. We ordered two Woodford black manhattans, they did not taste like any other black manhattans I have had. Not even close to par. We traded them for woodford old fashioned which were not very good either. Not sure why.

Nice experience for a night out. The staff was courteous, service was prompt, and the mahi-mahi was fantastic.

I learned about Sisserou's when they did the Caribbean festival. I didn't get the chance to go to that, so I looked forward to going to the restaurant. It lived up to the hype. Our server was fantastic and had a great demeanor. He definitely knew when to ask questions, being attentive, without being overbearing. It was a great balance. The food was amazing. I've had fried plantains before and could take or leave them normally, but these were the best I've ever had. It was like a side dessert with my meal. The street corn was great. I had the pork with mango sauce and I loved it. My date had the jerk chicken and ate every bite (I didn't even get a taste!) along with the red beans and rice. I cannot wait to go back and I'm getting the jerk chicken!

Sisserou's has never disappointed me! On this visit we had sandwiches. The Cuban and the Caribbean Dip were both outstanding. Plus my favorite rum punch and loaf of bread anywhere. Love Sisserou's!

This was our first time trying Sisserou's for brunch. We've only visited them for dinner previously. Overall, a nice experience. Each dish was unique with a decidedly Caribbean flair to it. Everything was very tasty. Preparation and presentation were good and pleasing to the eye. The only minor quibble was that the jerk chicken fingers on the chicken and waffles had a very salty breading which had to be taken off. I have had that problem with some brands of store-bought jerk seasoning but I expect Sisserou's would make theirs in-house so could control it better? We didn't order anything alcoholic this time but the mocktails were quite tasty and also showcased tropical Caribbean flavors nicely. Otherwise, the bar is quite well stocked with a solid rum collection and even the whiskey selection is commendable. So I look forward to returning for dinner. One thing I've found on this as well as on prior visits is that the floor is always sticky at Sisserou's. Kinda takes away from the experience a bit and leaves you with an icky first impression. I would highly recommend fixing this. Also, we had to move tables initially because there was some sort of sticky sauce that hadn't been wiped from the first table we were placed at. A little more attention to details like these would really elevate the ambience IMO. Otherwise, the food was very tasty overall and our server did a nice job of being attentive and extremely polite.

Overall it was really a good experience. The only issue we had was that we both ordered cocktails to enjoy before dinner. Hers arrived after a short wait and mine did not arrive for quite some time afterwards probably for another 15-20 mins. It took a very long time for the bar and you would think drink orders would be made at the same time. The painkiller was not very good at all either. Way too creamy, and just very bland. Overpriced. The pineapple margarita was great! The food was excellent. The waitress was very helpful and sweet.

I’ve never had a bad meal there, but this time, my Cuban sandwich had an awful taste to it and it was on hoagie bread and the plantains were so dry, non of it was edible. I would have returned it, but I got it as a to go order. I was sadly disappointed with my favorite restaurant.
