Siren Social Club is a sultry tropical speakeasy-style restaurant inside the new boutique Hotel Vela in downtown Gulfport, MS. The restaurant and hotel is a short walk from the Mississippi Aquarium, and picturesque white sand beaches. Led by award winning Chef Austin Sumrall and his wife Tresse, the menu will feature refined European flavors including an extensive raw bar, flavorful small plates, and a variety of handmade pastas just to name a few. Such a beautiful place with a great ambience, wonderful food and an even better staff!! My group of 8 ordered most of the menu and shared family style and every dish was worth the price and more. Each plate was beautiful and the drinks were artistically thought out and delicious. Chef Austin has done it again and made the coast a bit better and we will be back!!

A wonderful birthday dinner at the Siren Social Club! A beautiful Speakeasy vibe with awesome service and top class food and special drinks as always with Chef Austiin Sumrall! 🥳❤️ The Caesar salad, Beef Wellington and 1000 layer potatoes were awesome. Don’t be afraid to split everything. It may look small but by the time you start eating everything it’s very filling for two people Thank you for the best birthday dinner! 💯. PS Thanks to Brendan for making it extra special. 🥰

We had a fabulous dinner at Siren Social! The drinks & food were delicious and the service was top notch. We had a sampling of all of the raw oysters some local and others from MA & WA, steak tartar, beef Wellington & creamed spinach. They knocked it out of the park with the vibe. We toured the patio & some of the hotel rooms & we can’t wait to stay at the hotel. All the stars!!!

Siren Social Club We read all the reviews, studied the menu and went ahead and made our reservations. I usually wait a few weeks for the newest hotspot to cool off before trying it out but Chef Austin is an experienced Chef and Restaurant owner with White Pillars Restaurant and Lounge being our favorite restaurant. So we went ahead and made reservations. Highly recommend you make reservations a week in advance because this place is going to be on🔥 with the ambience and food experience Chef Austin and the Siren Team is delivering. Siren Social Club is located inside the beautiful Vela Hotel in downtown Gulfport. We showed up for our 6:45 PM reservations at 6:30 pm. The lobby had a few others waiting. We waited in the lobby and were invited in less than 10 minutes later. We entered in through plain doors (speakeasy) but the inside was anything but plain. It’s dark inside the main dining hall which I love. Adds to the Cuban speakeasy vibe. The gorgeous bar extends the full length of the dining room with the bar on one side and table seating on the other. The back of the dining room is where the open window to the kitchen and chefs table (bar) is located. We were particularly impressed by the coved ceiling design over the bar. The architecture adds to the ambiance along with the music. Instantly, you are transported to an upscale bar somewhere in downtown South Beach, Miami. Brendan, our resident WP (White Pillars) mixologist made his debut greeting us almost immediately as we bellied up to the bar. His talent really shines when that first drink arrives. You know you are not dining at just any ole place. Nope, these drinks are anything but average. I had the mojito and felt like Gloria Estefan would have been impressed with this one. Light and effervescent with a bushel of mint on top. My partner in this crime had the ‘Bull by the Horns’ bourbon cocktail. I stole a few sips and it was delicious. Appetizers: We started off with the paddlefish caviar service.

Welcome to Downtown Gulfport’s newest cool spot! Eye-catching, Art-Deco vibe. The bar could have been a 1920’s Speakeasy. Amazing cocktails. Excellent food from an incredible menu. Not cheap, but high quality and very good value. Make reservations in advance. 👍👍👍👍

All of the food was severely under-seasoned and relied on the small bits of sauce for flavor. The pork chop was fried to shoe leather, the replacement was still fried hard but raw at the bone. The desserts were outstanding. “Shareables” means 2 people. The portions are small. The beef Wellington was a let down. The meat was cooked great, no seasoning, no mushrooms, pate, prosciutto or mustard. Basically meat in bread. Unfortunately this food is not worth the money.

Hi Kristi, thank you so much for your feedback. We know that we have a few kinks to work out after our first couple of days of being open. I hate that you didn’t enjoy your pork chop, but that is why we took it off of your bill. Not to be argumentative, but there was most certainly mushrooms, prosciutto and mustard on the Wellington. For a restaurant to run this smoothly on their second day open, well that’s says a lot. Food, drinks, service, vibe…. All were amazing as always! Would expect nothing less from Chef Austin.
