This is my second time dining at Singpulah. I think the food is very tasty, and decent value, but I was really disappointed last night that proper care wasn't taken over my friend's nut allergy. All/most good restaurants these days take allergies seriously and we didn't feel that was done. My friend notified the waiter of her allergy when we ordered. Later, another waiter came to ask if 'some cross contamination' would be OK - the answer is always going to be no? Not sure why that needed to be asked, and didn't give my friend confidence. One of the dishes we ordered was a noodle dish with a sambal sauce on the side containing nuts. We asked, and the waiter confirmed, that the sauce be omitted entirely and not go anywhere near the dish. Despite this, the noodle dish still came with the dish of sauce sitting in the noodles. We sent the dish back, and by this point my friend was so worried about the lack of care that we ended our meal. Allergies need to be taken more seriously than this.

Really great food… took us straight back to amazing nights we’ve had in Singapore. Fabulous to have this restaurant in London.

We were a group of six at Singapulah for a meal out. It was a great time, the menu is a bit difficult to navigate with it being a bit more text heavy and perhaps better tie into the noodle variety would help! I did love the options and the food overall was great. The portions were big for the mains which I thought was best value for money, the starters perhaps fell a bit short in respect to value but certainly not taste. The downstairs seating is a bit tight, and to be fair we were the loud group so appreciate that 'noise' is subjective! Overall a great meal out and we'll be back - I think service just sometimes because we were downstairs it was a bit more reactive (i.e. us having to ask for water and take order etc), but overall it was friendly and speedy once we ordered.

The staff were lovely and helpful with the menu as well as attentive in clearing plates to make room, but he food came out well before our first drinks, which disrupted the flow of the meal, and made us feel quite rushed. The food was good, but not as great as we were expecting. The crab buns were delicious. The rice cooked and flavoured well, but wasn't very hot. While the beef shin rendang was tasty, the meat was sparse as there was a lot of fat, and the membrane was too tough to cut through even with a knife. The table next to us cleared their plate of this - so we may have just been unlucky.

Food was cold, tepid at best, cuttlefish balls were super cold inside don’t know if they were frozen, this made them gristly. Fried rice and the noodle dish were good and the taste of the food was good, but left half of it as it was too cold. Told the waitress when she cleared it away and she was sweet and said that we should have told her……but I can’t be bothered performance managing restaurants anymore, not my job to make sure your food goes out hot, it is your job not mine to tell you. It’s pretty much a basic. Plus the bright lights make it look like a cheap cafe. Much better Singaporean/Malay food available in Soho :-(

Lovely pre-theatre tea. Small plates are also pretty large, yippee, so over ordered. Rojak salad and chicken hot pot and mantou delish. Envious of spicy rice. Team super friendly and care about what they're doing. We'll be back.

Beef Rendang and the Chilli Crab were REALLY good. Their Ice Kacang needs a bit of work (where’s the cendol?!), but I’m speaking as a Malaysian😂. I’d like to go back and try their Char Kuey Teow and other desserts soon! Excellent service, nice clean restaurant- even their toilets were pristine (a nice change for Soho)
