We almost did not come back to Singapullah after the last time when we queued for 1 hour and got the tiniest table, and then when we didn't ASK for it got the bill... We are glad we gave it another chance. What a difference taking reservations has made - so much more relaxed and no waiting outside in the cold. So tonight we had very nice service and a very nice meal - the chili crab sauce was perhaps a bit rich for my liking, but husband liked the nasi lemak. Confusion though - why is there no standard gula melaka rather than gula melaka 'affogato'(??) And.....they brought the bill again when we didn't ASK for it, and then we waited half an hour to pay so they obviously didn't need the table back right away. Please, please, unless your customers are evidently outstaying their welcome, which we weren't, DON'T bring the bill unless you are asked to, and BEFORE you do, have the politesse to ask the customers if they want anything else...? It's good manners, after all!

Excellent Asian cuisine - pleasantly surprised. I didn't go for laksa as popularly ordered by other diners. The highlight was the three cup claypot chicken with jasmine rice. The fried chilli crab bao was equally delicious. I am not so sure about peranakan Assam prawns because it was de-shelled, but the spice level was fantastic. I ended the meal with a Kaya ice cream toast, which was perfect.

This is my second time here. The first time the food was below expectations. I wanted to give this place a second chance but alas it’s still below expectations. There are other much better Singaporean restaurants.

Food was delicious Wait staff not so good kept forgetting items but they were still really friendly just not that on it I would still go back though

This is my second time dining at Singpulah. I think the food is very tasty, and decent value, but I was really disappointed last night that proper care wasn't taken over my friend's nut allergy. All/most good restaurants these days take allergies seriously and we didn't feel that was done. My friend notified the waiter of her allergy when we ordered. Later, another waiter came to ask if 'some cross contamination' would be OK - the answer is always going to be no? Not sure why that needed to be asked, and didn't give my friend confidence. One of the dishes we ordered was a noodle dish with a sambal sauce on the side containing nuts. We asked, and the waiter confirmed, that the sauce be omitted entirely and not go anywhere near the dish. Despite this, the noodle dish still came with the dish of sauce sitting in the noodles. We sent the dish back, and by this point my friend was so worried about the lack of care that we ended our meal. Allergies need to be taken more seriously than this.

Really great food… took us straight back to amazing nights we’ve had in Singapore. Fabulous to have this restaurant in London.

We were a group of six at Singapulah for a meal out. It was a great time, the menu is a bit difficult to navigate with it being a bit more text heavy and perhaps better tie into the noodle variety would help! I did love the options and the food overall was great. The portions were big for the mains which I thought was best value for money, the starters perhaps fell a bit short in respect to value but certainly not taste. The downstairs seating is a bit tight, and to be fair we were the loud group so appreciate that 'noise' is subjective! Overall a great meal out and we'll be back - I think service just sometimes because we were downstairs it was a bit more reactive (i.e. us having to ask for water and take order etc), but overall it was friendly and speedy once we ordered.

The staff were lovely and helpful with the menu as well as attentive in clearing plates to make room, but he food came out well before our first drinks, which disrupted the flow of the meal, and made us feel quite rushed. The food was good, but not as great as we were expecting. The crab buns were delicious. The rice cooked and flavoured well, but wasn't very hot. While the beef shin rendang was tasty, the meat was sparse as there was a lot of fat, and the membrane was too tough to cut through even with a knife. The table next to us cleared their plate of this - so we may have just been unlucky.
