Set in a gorgeous Grade II-listed Georgian villa, the decor is bright and modern but respects the building’s elegance and heritage.

The food, too, respects classical tradition, but is a contemporary take on British cuisine - combining influences from around the world in dishes based on fabulous impeccably sourced seasonal ingredients.

Enjoy an aperitif in one of the elegant lounges in the older part of the building before moving on to the sleek restaurant with its blonde wood beams, exposed stone walls and bi-fold doors opening onto the garden.

The knowledge and experience of Head Chef Luke Tipping shows through in the assured, confident nature of the cooking – and he has the skill to know when to hold back. Dishes are balanced and pure, with subtle modern touches and a pleasing clarity of flavour; be sure to try the signature tapenade bread rolls and delicious soufflés.

Service is enthusiastic and brims with personality.

Eureka, our superbly equipped cookery school and development kitchen, is about discovery. Discovering the skills and techniques used by Simpsons chefs to create delicious dishes. And discovering and unleashing your own culinary talents. Our cookery classes are a hands-on experience, with chefs helping you create fabulous contemporary dishes. The Eureka Kitchen is priced at £195 per person, to include lunch. If you have a voucher, please give our office a call to book a place! Unfortunately, we are not able to cater for specific dietary requirements or allergies.

Excellent food and venue is lovely. Staff are friendly, knowledgable and efficient. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch.

Great food, but the quality of service has reduced, staff didn’t feel as attentive and every interaction felt slightly delayed… difficult to pinpoint it wasn’t bad service it was just slightly off…

Paid supplement for beef wellington I would of been helpful when pre ordering before arrival to be told this meat is only cooked at 55degress and will be served extremely raw with blood very visible and only warm It was very easy to eat no problem but the visual appeal was a shock also the beef wellington is presented uncut at the table showing a substantial size only 2 slices from the middle are served to the table when I asked if it was possible to have the rest the wine waiter smiled and said that’s for the staff even if he was only joking I was not getting the rest of the beef wellington , also only the cauliflower cheese was hot the cabbage was again only like warm perhaps it’s me but I like to eat hot food on a hot plate something which has always been the case at this restaurant mid week at lunchtime

We went as a group of 4 friends for Sunday lunch and all had the Sirloin Beef. It was lovely. The menu is always inventive with a limited but good selection of choices. The service is always so friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is always relaxed - there is never any rush for us to finish. I would highly recommend Simpsons.

Enjoyable meal as ever, but it’s getting very expensive. We come once or twice a year but might have to consider other Brum options!

This is the second time we have visited Simpson’s, this time to celebrate my mum’s 60th Birthday. We took advantage of an autumn offer and had the prestige menu. The food was out of this world. All 7 courses and gifts from the kitchen were amazing, so much so we are still talking about it all days later. The staff we experienced on the day were warm and welcoming and attending to our every need and made my mum’s 60th Birthday that bit more special by giving her a card and a special birthday message on her dessert. Thank you Simpson’s for providing us with excellent food and service yet again!
