Silver Dove Afternoon Tea is a full service tearoom in Downtown Boston specializing in English style afternoon tea service. Steps from Government Center and the Freedom Trail, an experience at Silver Dove includes a pot of tea and a curated selection of finger foods. The food is a set menu and fixed price consisting of a variety of finger sandwiches, savory canapés, cakes, scones, macarons and other pastries which rotate seasonally.

We offer 90 minute reservations for afternoon tea Wednesday through Sunday. Reservations are available up to six weeks in advance. We can accommodate parties of up to six guests on weekends, and parties of up to twelve guests Wednesday through Friday.

We serve a wide selection of teas and herbal infusions from around the world and of various styles. We also provide a selection of craft cocktails and mocktails, as well as sparkling and still wines.

Our kitchen is completely gluten free (and oat free). We are independently owned and operated.

                          This was the second time I have been at Silver Dove It is a lovely experience. Food is nicely done Staff are very nice and accommodating We celebrate The New Year here now every year a terrific new tradition

                          The food and tea were high quality. The staff was really helpful and friendly. They accommodated a dietary restriction really well. I will definitely return.

                          I had a very disappointing experience at Silver Dove Afternoon Tea. The food portions were extremely small—bite-sized servings that left us still hungry even after spending $150 (including one drink). The quality was subpar: the scone was oily and hard, the savory items were unimpressive (the sweet potato soup and coronation chicken were the worst), and the desserts were just average. To make matters worse, the staff was unfriendly and rushed us during the last half-hour of our reservation, repeatedly reminding us to wrap up because another group was coming. Overall, it was a very poor experience and definitely not worth the price. Would not recommend.

                          This is our second time! We really enjoyed the experience again. Only complaint is that the location is very small, but it makes it feel cozy.

                          Had a lovely tea with my cousin. The space is small, but the staff proactively took our coats and provided bag hangers to keep things clear. Get the ripe pu-erh!

                          Compared to other tea places in Boston, Silver Dove was reasonably priced. The food was excellent and the service was great. Plus, they were flexible in making changes. We went there to celebrate our anniversary and it was just what we were hoping for!

                          It was definitely a quaint new fun experience. The wait staff was excellent and the ambience was amazing. The only downside was going in the winter whenever the door would open it was very chilly. And the alcoholic drink we had didn't taste very good. We did not speak up because it was a beautiful presentation I think we were just not used to the Armagnac in an espresso Martini. The tea was amazing! I had the white peach. I wish we could try more flavors but they only let you pick one. The food was 'ok' the bread that sandwiches were in seemed a bit stale. The scones were delicious. The peppermint macaroons were very good. All in all it was a great experience and will most likely go back
