Silver Dove Afternoon Tea is a full service tearoom in Downtown Boston specializing in English style afternoon tea service. Steps from Government Center and the Freedom Trail, an experience at Silver Dove includes a pot of tea and a curated selection of finger foods. The food is a set menu and fixed price consisting of a variety of finger sandwiches, savory canapés, cakes, scones, macarons and other pastries which rotate seasonally.

We offer 90 minute reservations for afternoon tea Wednesday through Sunday. Reservations are available up to six weeks in advance. We can accommodate parties of up to six guests on weekends, and parties of up to twelve guests Wednesday through Friday.

We serve a wide selection of teas and herbal infusions from around the world and of various styles. We also provide a selection of craft cocktails and mocktails, as well as sparkling and still wines.

Our kitchen is completely gluten free (and oat free). We are independently owned and operated.

I decided to try having tea at the Silver Dove based a Chronicle Story. Unfortunately, because I have had tea at other restaurants in Boston and in other cities. I was not as impressed as I expected I would be. The food was okay but not great and the space is tight and somewhat noisy. Based on my experience I think the Afternoon Tea is overpriced for what is provided.

Was a nice experience. Tables close together, but food and service was excellent.

The tea at Silver Dove was fabulous! A wonderful treat of an afternoon! Food and drinks were amazing and the service was spot on. Highly recommend this!

Just lovely! Stopped by on the way home after picking my mom up from the airport. My daughters love high tea and joined us! The food was outstanding and the service was great! The Silver Dove is a gem!

We had a beautiful birthday meal here today. I reserved ahead of time as I have vegan and gluten free dietary needs. The food, tea, and service was a delight. We will absolutely be going again!

Food is good and we really appreciated not worrying about gluten. Would have liked a bit of soup and/or salad as gf food is often not as filling. My vanilla roibos tea was outstandingly delicious.
