Silver Dove Afternoon Tea is a full service tearoom in Downtown Boston specializing in English style afternoon tea service. Steps from Government Center and the Freedom Trail, an experience at Silver Dove includes a pot of tea and a curated selection of finger foods. The food is a set menu and fixed price consisting of a variety of finger sandwiches, savory canapés, cakes, scones, macarons and other pastries which rotate seasonally.

We offer 90 minute reservations for afternoon tea Wednesday through Sunday. Reservations are available up to six weeks in advance. We can accommodate parties of up to six guests on weekends, and parties of up to twelve guests Wednesday through Friday.

We serve a wide selection of teas and herbal infusions from around the world and of various styles. We also provide a selection of craft cocktails and mocktails, as well as sparkling and still wines.

Our kitchen is completely gluten free (and oat free). We are independently owned and operated.

Just lovely! Stopped by on the way home after picking my mom up from the airport. My daughters love high tea and joined us! The food was outstanding and the service was great! The Silver Dove is a gem!

We had a beautiful birthday meal here today. I reserved ahead of time as I have vegan and gluten free dietary needs. The food, tea, and service was a delight. We will absolutely be going again!

Food is good and we really appreciated not worrying about gluten. Would have liked a bit of soup and/or salad as gf food is often not as filling. My vanilla roibos tea was outstandingly delicious.

Service was great. It was not too busy at 4:15 on Thursday. Definitely a great addition to downtown. Loved the mousse dessert and the chicken salad!

I cannot say enough about the wonderful afternoon spent at Silver Dove! The room was beautiful, the service was warm and attentive and the food was beyond delicious. It was an extra special experience for my best friend who has Celiac and never gets to enjoy these kinds of yummy treats. Book a visit and you will not be disappointed…I can’t wait to go back!
