    Interesting concept and the food all tasted good, kudos to the team for pushing the envelope around re-purposing food items that would otherwise be discarded. Service was attentive but we ran into a few delays at the start and mid-way through our meal, which meant that we were seated late and also ended the evening pretty late. Food was good all-around, but perhaps not as inventive (flavour-wise) as we would expect at this price point. Focusing on zero-waste likely meant that most of the flavour notes were quite similar across most dishes, e.g. flavours based on the Maillard reaction, from concentrating flavours over time through curing or fermentation or pickling, etc. Nothing was bad, everything was delicious, but only one or two dishes truly surprised us! Overall, it was a great experience, but it feels like a proof-of-concept rather than a fully fleshed out idea at this point.

    Fascinating experience of food differently. Challenges assumptions about where flavour comes from and how fermentation can add intensity of flavour to even the most simple of dishes and from foods that would currently be thrown away. The focus on zero waste is an interesting way to interrogate the profligate waste of contemporary food. Awesome. But next? Like Rene Redzepi I wonder how you now do this at scale. How does this challenge big food?

    We are at the counter and loved that the people preparing the food also brought the plates and explained everything about where the ingredients came from, process of fabrication, even came to show us some of the raw products like flour. The team is team is clearly passionate about the project and it shows in the quality of the food and the service experience. We had all the dishes and asked about one we spotted at another table just by curiosity, it was the alternative vegan dessert, and instead of just describing what it was which we were asking about they offered us to have it as well without charging us any extra. The tastes and textures are incredible and knowing how thoughtful the sourcing (chefs picks some herbs from his garden, some even comes form the canal wide life, cherry picked farms to supply) and the process is (every part of a product is recycled to have a purpose, menu constantly changes to reflect seasonality, everything is made on site) makes it even better. The team is incredibly passionate and friendly. We will be back!

    What a great restaurant ! Lead by chef Will and his team who are all enthusiastic, knowledgable and bring their own style of service to the table. We sat at the counter and enjoyed chatting to chef and his team (when they had the time in a busy service) Excellent sourcing of ingredients which are combined into delicious balanced dishes. I sometimes dislike tasting menus but these guys have got it just right and we thought the set menu price at £75 was good value. Good industrial restaurant space with ambient lighting, comfortable chairs and a positive vibe. The location is buzzy - just above the Crate Brewery so there are lots places to go before and after dinner. Loved it - thank you

    A unique and very enjoyable dinner, with the full tasting menu and paired wines. Would have been nice to receive a list of wines as difficult to keep track of which ones paired with the menu!

    It's different and stands out. We've been meaning to book and finally did which did not disappoint. We now realise that we are over tasting menus and the running commentary thats matched to the experience. This not a criticism of Silo as we decided that a few months ago and still new before we booked. We enjoyed the experience, loved the ambiance and location of our table looking over the canal in the vibrant (not homogenised) Hackney Wick. So it's a bit of a shame that we won't be going back as the tasting menu forms the style of cuisine.

    Some of the finest food I've ever had, strong ethos driving every bite. Brilliant non alcoholic pairings, great service. Ace location and brilliant interior design.

    On Saturday we enjoyed an incredible dining experience at Silo. Situated on the outskirts of the Olympic Park with in a lovely location by the river is where you’ll find the restaurant. Silo is a No Waste restaurant priding itself on sustainability , foraged ingredients and fermentation to produce which I can now say dishes of amazing skill and most importantly flavour. We arrived to receive a lovely friendly welcome before being seated at the chef’s counter. Here we were not only able to chat with head chef Will but also the rest of the team. It was also amazing to watch and learn about each dish being created. The menu consists of a All In and a Short List tasting menu. There is also an opportunity to include a wine pairing if you wish. Our afternoon started with a complimentary glass of bubbles before deciding to go with the All In menu. You start with the Snacks that included the Koji Quaver , The Siloaf bread and butter before finishing with the Grilled Troy Onion. We were already being blown away by the flavours and couldn’t wait for what was to follow. This would be in the form of a delightful and refreshing dish of Tomatoes with ricotta followed by the incredible Smoked Pink Fir Potato. If this wasn’t enough then the Wild Rabbit in a sourdough dim sum was simply genius. This led us to the main courses of Oyster Mushroom and the Bruntona Pork. The mushroom was amazing and the pork was stunning. We were just loving every single dish that was put in front of us. We also enjoyed the cocktails and wine including the Forest Negroni , Walnut Old Fashioned and the Skin Contact Orange Wine from Emilia Romagna. Now it was time for desserts which started with the Pirate Rice Amazake and finished with the Siloaf Ice Cream. The food created by Will and his team was simply outstanding , the friendliness and service from the whole team was first class. So this will come as no surprise when I say that Silo is a must visit.

    One of the best dining experience I’ve ever had! The service was very good and everyone was super nice with us, the food absolutely outstanding the flavours and balance throughout all the courses was just perfect! ( we also really enjoyed the playlist). Special thank you to Will for the little tour at the end of our meal. Thank you very much to all the team and Bravo!!! I can’t wait to come and dine at silo again
