Silica is a modern Australian restaurant situated right on Kiama's Surf Beach, boasting beautiful views of the coastline. Chef Luke Basic has created a menu with a difference. Serving large and small plates using seasonal produce, most notably, a substantial amount of organic produce from their own garden. We are fully licensed with a bar area upstairs looking over the water. We offer two dining rooms, both with modern furnishings and décor. They welcome all types of functions, including wedding receptions, birthday parties and corporate events.

I was very disappointed with the chicken. I sent it back. They arranged another dish. The staff were nice and the wines good value. Note to chef: chicken is very cheap so don’t serve something that looks like a pidgin

Best restaurant in Kiama! We’ve had the tasting menu served on Saturday evenings a number of times, and each time the menu has been interesting, varied and appetisingly-presented, representing excellent value-for-money. Staff are friendly and efficient. The place is a little noisy because of all the hard surfaces, so it’s probably best to go early or late to avoid the noise when the restaurant is full.

The food was excellent, well presented, amazing flavours delivered at a nice pace. Staff were polite and attentive to our table. Silica have great staff, the table service was above average and the chefs exceeded our expectations. We had a night out to remember.

Beautiful fresh food I recommend the oysters super tasty and the Barramundi was delicious. Service friendly and professional. Keep up the good work.

Thursday night Pasta Night at Silica is always good value and excellent quality. Last night was no exception - Pappardelle with a pork ragu. And for my wife, who doesn't eat pork, they prepared a dish with tomatoes and prawns, which she thought was great. The leaf salad was good and the dessert very good too.... With two glasses of a French Rose and a soft drink total bill excluding a tip was $99 - hard to beat!

Strangers locating and entering the restaurant was not an overwhelming experience, but the staff and then the food made this an experience one you would want to repeat.

First time lunch at Silica. Easy booking online. Welcomed on entry. Fast and professional table service from attentive and informed wait staff. 2 of us shared an entree, we had a balmain bug each and shared a pasta dish. All the dishes had beautiful combinations of flavours that left us savouring each bite. We loved the Balmain Bugs, soooo good!! Great drinks selection as well. Will definately be back for more, thank you.
