At Sikwa, we believe that food is the universal language that communicates our history, culture, and traditions. Inspired by the richness of Costa Rica, we offer a culinary experience that connects the past and present. We work with local communities and collaborators such as Proyecto Jirondai and Koswak Usure to keep traditions alive and promote sustainable practices. Every dish at Sikwa tells a story of respect for the land and love for culture, using local and seasonal ingredients. More than a restaurant, Sikwa is an act of cultural preservation and a commitment to education and community development.

The most fantastic dining experience I've had in San Jose or a lot of other places for that matter. A must do in the city.

Sluggish service, the dinning room is way too loudnto have a conversation, sound dampening should be considered. Preparations are good but not amazing.

La comida normal, no tenía sabores extraordinarios, más bien era bastante simple por el precio y la experiencia que prometen. Lo que estuvo mal en general fue el servicio, no tenían host entonces uno tenía que quedarse en la entrada del salón a esperar a que uno de los 3 meseros lo atendiera y vi que también le pasó a varios visitantes, que tenían que esperar un rato medio incómodo en el medio del salón a ver si alguien lo atendía, las bebidas duraban mucho en llegar y no tenían algunos platos del menú. El lugar en general se ve algo descuidado y siento que el precio de los platos y lo que promete no concuerda con la experiencia real que uno se lleva.

Excellent food, excellent service. Food was very interesting and tasty. The only fault would be the wine, we had the degustation menu with wine tasting and the wine was deficient for the quality of the food. Apart from that, everything was outstanding.

Super friendly bilingual staff and cool decor. Food was great (we had the tasting menu) and was a steal in terms of price. I’m used to paying a lot more for tasting menus

I did reservation, came on time, the table wasnt ready. We had to wait for people to leave so they start to fix my table. We were there to celebrate a birthday which I mentioned on reservation, but they did not say or bring at least a candle.
