Shy Bird is an all day rotisserie, bar, cafe & takeaway. We strive to be affordable, approachable and accessible while offering crave-able food, warmth, and hospitality. We offer a serious beverage program that doesn’t take itself too seriously. We have a Dog Friendly Outdoor Patio!

Awesome food! Try the corn ribs, you will not be disappointed -- flavorful, cheesy and fun to eat! Chicken bites were delish, recommend the sauce flight to try them all. Great way to start off dinner and great for sharing. Salads were good, a little heavily dressed. The pasta and chicken meatballs was a bit spicy, the meatballs were very herby. Roasted chicken was excellent, great flavor and juicy. Everyone enjoyed their dinner, definitely recommend! (Parking is a challenge though, so plan a little extra time for that).

LOVED. Came for the Work Menu. Delicious food and lattes, easy, attentive but non-obtrusive service, wonderful atmosphere for working. Can’t wait to return for dinner as well. Found my new favorite spot in Southie.

First time trying Shy Bird, even though we live half a mile away. Will definitely be back. The roast half chicken was moist and perfectly seasoned. The chicken nuggets were also good, although some of the larger pieces were not so tender, almost had a formerly frozen texture. They also were just lukewarm. Would have preferred them to be hotter.

We had such a wonderful night! Porter provided excellent service and I would highly recommend coming to Shy Bird! The perfect night for a nights with friends or a date night. Cheers!

Our dinner was terrific. The new menu has some excellent items, including the corn ribs and the cucumber gazpacho perfect for the end of summer. The staff could not be more friendly and attentive.

We went to shy bird last night as a large group. The food was delicious, staff was amazingly accommodating and everyone had a great time. We appreciate the staffs effort and if we are ever in Boston will go back again.

We sat at the bar and the bar tenders were very attentive and provided great service. The cocktails were unique and delicious and the Peri Peri chicken was outstanding!! I will definitely be going back for that.
