Shuckin’ Shack Oyster Bar grew out of a vision for a local establishment that would appeal to families of all ages. A place where friends and family can enjoy a great meal of primarily Oysters and Shrimp, but we’re more than just a seafood restaurant, we serve up fresh, delicious meals and creative cocktails in an environment that exudes relaxation. We cater to locals and tourists, providing them a place to enjoy a good time and watch a sporting event on big screens while taking in some of the local history. Many people have passed in and out of our doors enjoying succulent local oysters and shrimp, shared local fishing or surfing stories and spent time just talking about the friendly beach comber atmosphere inside. The casual atmosphere with its friendly and helpful staff has made many patrons feel very much at home be they locals or visitors.

Service was great. Very nice gal. Had a lot of parties though. First time for us going there and the raw oysters were fabulous. Got two trays!!! We had the crab dip but it was a bit salty. We had steamed mussels and fried oysters. Coleslaw was wonderful, not enough of it though. Too many fries. Really is such a waste. Oysters a bit over cooked. But good. All was really nice.

The hostess sat us promptly. The waitress did a great job. And most importantly the food was delicious. Will be back

I have been to Shukin Shack several times and always had ver6 good experiences on previous visits. They have the best selection of raw oysters in the western suburbs. The other food and service was also very good. On this visit they were very short of staff…only one waitress and there was a good crowd for a Thursday. So this time the service was not good even though the waitress did her very best..they were simply overwhelmed…so it took a long time to get served,the sandwiches came out cold, and there was a couple of mistakes on the orders. Overall…Instill rate them very good to excellent and am writing off this visit to a one time anomaly

Great service from a friendly staff, a small place but great atmosphere and good food. Taco Tuesday is great. All the tacos are $3, and the margaritas are $5. So a great deal
