Modern Cafe Culture in the heart of Chester.
Whether it's a coffee in the morning, a light lunch on the terrace with a glass of wine from our eclectic selection, to an intimate dinner for two in the restaurant, we aim to offer something for everyone at every time of the day.

    Customer service was exceptional from the moment we walked in. Food was amazing - really good prices too. We can’t wait to come back and try more!

    It was my first time at Shrub but I found the staff friendly and helpful, food was delicious and we didn’t wait long for out dishes to come out to us Will definitely be going again, can’t wait to try their roast

    really quiet as only a few diners, fabulous food with loads of taste. great service and ambience, a little vertigo going to the loo as up several flights of stairs.

    Extremely tasty tapas style veggie food. All helpings were large such that 4 choices would have been enough rather than the 5 we had for the two of us. We have been here quite a few times and bar one time when the service was very poor we have enjoyed it and recommend it even for non veggies like us.

    Beautiful restaurant, great staff and amazing food. We had a lovely meal and our toddler loved it too!
