Here at Shokunin we serve traditional omakase styled courses.
Omakase is a Japanese phrase that means "I'll leave it up to you”. The chef chooses the fresh fish selection daily and garnishes it into a 11 or 13 course meal. Our mission is to deliver a fine dining experience in a casual environment all at an affordable price.

As a disclaimer, we do not sell any rolls that are baked, fried, or contain eel sauce or spicy mayo. We also do not sell any kitchen items, such as teriyaki bowls.

A delightful surprise. Initial reaction was doubt upon discovering that it is located inside the Haven City Market. However, seating is inside the restaurant, away from the noisy foot traffic of the food court. Our dinner was the Omakase style sushi menu, a truly wonderful dining experience. We had our own sushi chef, Tony, who did a marvelous job of preparing a wide assortment of sushi for us, all of which was not only delicious, but prepared with a very entertaining flair. Shokunin is now our go-to sushi spot, and we look forward to returning again and again.

This is the best sushi I’ve ever had. I always recommend it to people. I love the freshness, the flavors, the uniqueness. It’s a great experience every time.

Tiny place. 13 or 15 seats in a food court. However, the food was all excellent. That includes the sea urchin which isn’t good most places.

Overall good. The sushi is better than it should be for being located in a food hall. It's a bit weird to be the only people in the restaurant, though.

This was our first visit. The restaurant located in the Haven City food court and only has a sushi bar, with no tables inside. You can order to go and eat in the food court dining area. Omakase is the only thing available at the sushi bar. I was with five others, and not everyone eats sushi, so I almost canceled our reservation. I'm glad I didn't because their omakase was the best I've ever had. Each piece had a unique taste, and one was even smoked, which was amazing. For those who didn't want sushi, they made a couple of rolls and wraps in the kitchen, but they had too much rice, and the guys didn't like them. My husband and I are excited to return for the omakase.

The restaurant is located in a large food court and is therefore rather open to a lot of outside foot traffic noise but otherwise eating here is a wonderful experience due to the absolutely delicious food and polite service.

This place is a gem inside the Haven City Market. The ingredients were fresh, and each nigiri course was carefully planned by the chef. The noise level cannot be helped due to it locating inside a food court. However, the entire dining experience was so enjoyable.
