Shiro is an all-day Japanese restaurant and bar arriving at Liverpool Street’s Broadgate Circle.

Hugely popular in our home Hong Kong, Shiro cuisine is inspired by Japan’s foodie hot spots; Ginza, Shinjuku and Shibuya in Tokyo – contemporary but true to the roots of Japanese cuisine, right to the heart of the City of London.

From our Crystal Sushi, invented by Shiro’s chefs, which adds extra layers of flavour to traditional sushi, delicious ramens made with Chef’s 50-year-old family recipe, and being one of few restaurants to serve edomae sushi – our menus are reflective of contemporary Japanese cuisine true to the traditional root.

Food was ok at the time. Nothing special and the wait staff had absolutely no idea about Sushi. Both my daughter and I have been up all night being sick so I wouldn’t suggest eating here!

We went to this place with high expectations. Most of the menu was not available when we arrived which was very disappointing. The food overall has nothing special, very avarage. Fish ramen tasted like was not fresh made and the main signature disses were not rich in flavour and missing even sault. At the end of the dinner were “invited to leave” due to table rotation, which was a shame as half of the restaurant was empty. We will not come back

The food was good and the service was excellent. Thank you to the kind manager who brought up a complimentary birthday dessert for my friend, which topped up the evening nicely. We had a wonderful dining experience, and would be happy to come back again.

It’s a pretty restaurant and sushi chefs greet you in the open kitchen. Loads of light wood and foliage. We were the first ones in for lunch before a play, and the host showed us to our table- in the exact middle of the restaurant, away from the window with the view and hard seats- when no one else was there. I asked if we could sit at a booth- and he rolled his eyes at us! A bit rude given the circumstances. The sushi was great, and the service was excellent. We left full of delicious sushi cuts. The value for money- not sure. But I’m sure the cuts of fish made it pricey (we did the chefs selection). I wouldn’t go back, but glad I went.

The pork belly chashu ramen is very tasty and fulfilling. I went on a cold day and the ramen broth is hot enough to warm my heart and tummy. Also tried Edomae sushi and totally agreed what they priced for. Will definitely come back.

Il locale è ben posizionato. Vicino alla stazione ma in un contesto moderno e di tendenza. Purtroppo il cibo non ha incontrato le aspettative. Diverse opzioni del menu non erano disponibili, può succedere ma sarebbe meglio informare prima non dopo aver ordinato… le sostituzioni suggerite non erano soddisfacenti e non ben eseguito. Ci è stato fatto uno sconto per gli evidenti disguidi, gesto apprezzato ma completamente rapporto prezzo / qualità basso.

Decided to book a restaurant close to Liverpool Street and came across Shiro Sushi. So first of all let me say the food is delicious. Tasty and well presented and both my friend and I found it very appetising. Good seats and excellent atmosphere. Now comes a more critical overview. I found the service very fussy and in your face. We were not comfortable by the server constantly coming over and not making us relaxed enough to enjoy the meal. This has to be pointed out and hopefully amended asap if you want your customers to come back for the excellent food. One another point to mention is be careful of what you order as some portions are worth the price and other dishes you feel disappointed on what you are paying. So my recommendation is to try Shiro Sushi out but be conscious of the small dishes where you pay far more than you should for such a restaurant and food they offer. Otherwise you are paying £50 per head and don’t leave fully satisfied.
