Standing high above the city on the 10th floor of the City Club Apartments, at 309 Vine Street; resurrected from the history that has stood here before our time, Shires' Rooftop is inspired by the first amusement resort in this part of the country, Shires' Garden. Though the original Shires' Gardens burned to the ground, "in a most picturesque fire," the legacy that was left behind is everlasting and an integral part of the Queen City's history. The creation of the Matinee Performance, the regal guests Shires' hosted, an unsolved murder and other noteworthy events that took place at the original Shires' Gardens, are an inspiration to our program that we look forward to sharing with you.

The server was nice and enthusiastic. The product was mediocre at best. Wine was cheap and it showed. Cocktails overdone and not great. Food was overpriced and poor quality. More ingredients and more flavors do not make a better dish. Will not return.

This was a fantastic place to go. You walk into what looks like an upscale apartment/condo complex...with history! They go the extra mile; they put out red ropes to a special elevator for the restaurant. I have only seen that in major cities and in very nice European restaurants. We hardly drive downtown to eat but so glad we found this place. It's perfect for a little date night, special occasion, or a corporate dinner. The food was incredible and reasonably priced. The wine selection was small but very good. The service was phenomenal. We were checked on multiple times for anything we might need by our waitress, the manager, and the gentlemen cleaning plates off the table. The view was probably the best in Cincinnati because you are right downtown and high enough up. My wife and I will be going back to this place.

Beautiful and unique ambience. Spinach artichoke dip was very good and my drink was amazing. Service was nice and attentive.

Went after a Bengals game around 5:15pm. Only a handful of other patrons. Service was ok. Food was quite delicious. The flatbread was nice. The salad with pears was very good. The scallops dish was excellent. Would return.
