Standing high above the city on the 10th floor of the City Club Apartments, at 309 Vine Street; resurrected from the history that has stood here before our time, Shires' Rooftop is inspired by the first amusement resort in this part of the country, Shires' Garden. Though the original Shires' Gardens burned to the ground, "in a most picturesque fire," the legacy that was left behind is everlasting and an integral part of the Queen City's history. The creation of the Matinee Performance, the regal guests Shires' hosted, an unsolved murder and other noteworthy events that took place at the original Shires' Gardens, are an inspiration to our program that we look forward to sharing with you.

What a fun dining experience! We were blessed with a beautiful evening to enjoy rooftop dining. I recommend the diver scallops and my husband enjoyed his lamb bolognese. The service was exceptional and our food came out very quickly. This was an awesome venue with cool vibes that set the stage for the concert we went to afterwards. I would definitely return the next time I’m in Cincinnati.

Food was good, but definitely overpriced. Fried green tomatoes appetizer was good, crab cakes appetizer was meh. Pasta Bolognese was very good, as were the scallops enreee. Brussel sprouts side were soggy and over sauced.

Nice rooftop with good food and wine. We shred the spinach & artichoke appetizer. Short rib and scallops for our entrees. Enjoyed!

Service was very slow. Food was not tasty and way overpriced. Quality and taste of food was honestly very poor. Dont recommend. However the rooftop was nice.

There was a Bengals game during our reservation time. Parking was expensive. Not the fault of Shires’ Rooftop. It was my poor planning. The dining experience was excellent. It wasn’t too crowded, service and food was top notch.

Food was quite good. Service was ok. Wait staff was friendly but weren’t refilling drinks and empty appetizer plates were still on our table even after we had finished our entrees. We were celebrating a birthday so we finally cleared the table ourselves by stacking and moving to the end of the table so we could have room to pull out cake and blow out candles. Overall service was nice enough but sub par.
