Standing high above the city on the 10th floor of the City Club Apartments, at 309 Vine Street; resurrected from the history that has stood here before our time, Shires' Rooftop is inspired by the first amusement resort in this part of the country, Shires' Garden. Though the original Shires' Gardens burned to the ground, "in a most picturesque fire," the legacy that was left behind is everlasting and an integral part of the Queen City's history. The creation of the Matinee Performance, the regal guests Shires' hosted, an unsolved murder and other noteworthy events that took place at the original Shires' Gardens, are an inspiration to our program that we look forward to sharing with you.

Great food and service The salmon was amazing and I had a NY strip and it was juicy and tender cooked perfect. Killer spot outside is a great place!

Amazing food and drinks! The chefs feast for two was incredible and I highly recommend it! The rooftop outside is a beautiful view. Definitely coming back!

Disappointing. The food was rather bland. Drinks were "ok". Our server, Crystal, was marvelous!! The one bright spot.

My husband and I went to Shires for a Friday night date night. It was a cool rooftop setting with expansive views of the river, stadiums and the charming Roebling Bridge. The bartender absolutely nailed my gin martini, the host made indoor accommodations for us when it got a bit too cool for us outside and our meals were fantastic. We shared the meal for two which was plenty of food with another meal left over but was served on an elegant, raised dish so it was not just a barbaric plate of meat or cumbersome on a small table for two. That was a nice touch. The salmon was perfectly tender and the medallions were beautifully cooked, both of which easily could have been dry since the meal provides a variety of five small portions. All of this was delivered by the sweetest, top-notch server who made helpful suggestions and remained enthusiastic through questions about substitutions. Thank you for a delicious, charming date night - we will certainly be back!

Great atmosphere. Loved the view. Food was just okay. I think the sever had quite a few tables, but the service was good.

The roof top was amazing and it was a beautiful morning to sit outside. We were a party of 6 and none of us had ever been to the restaurant before. We were seated right away by a lovely hostess who confirmed our reservation and then we waited for over 10 minutes for someone to bring us waters and greet us. The deck was not full, nor was the inside seating area. After we got water, our waitress arrived and took drink orders, which took another 12 minutes for mimosas and 7 more minutes for coffee. After 25 minutes of being seated we were finally able to order food. The food was worth the wait, but we realized we needed to order dessert in the middle of our meal if we were going to get it in a timely manner. Our server was very pleasant, just extremely slow. All in all, I would go back, just not at a time when we needed to be somewhere afterward.

Experience there was excellent me and my fiancé enjoyed the chef feast. Chef feast was at a reasonable price and good enough for two people. Will definitely be back. But overall excellent environment

The building and atmosphere are great. I believe we came on an off night for the kitchen and staff. It was a very slow Tuesday night. You would have thought everything would have been perfect. We order The Chef's Feast. Salad did not come out. The entree was supposed to se served on a skillet pan with warming candles under to keep food warm it did not. For $120, you'd expect to be perfect. We did order dessert and coffee with cream. Cream was spoiled and had it taken off bill. I truly believe it was a bad service night for them. Our reservation had we were celebrating our anniversary it was never acknowledged by staff.
